There are hundreds of places to hike, camp, four-wheel, fish, ride bikes or horses...the Sawtooth Headquarters is right off the highway between Ketchum/Sun Valley & Galena Summit & offers free hiking maps & info. Harriman Trail is a great place to ride bikes!

The SNRA covers a huge area; stop at the ranger station 8 miles north of Ketchum on hwy 75. The Sawtooth wilderness has some of the best day hiking and backpacking in the country.

I've never seen or visited anything like this and it was exceptional! This is a must do for Sun Valley visitors/skiers. Take Warm Springs Road out of Ketchum about 8 miles to the Frenchman's Natural Hot Springs. Road turns to gravel. Watch for the National Park Service signs on right and river on left. It is well marked but can be easy to miss. Its on the left after the large bridge.

This is such a beautiful spot in Idaho. The Sun Valley "rangers" are very strict however. There are so many ignorant people doing things that rangers will ticket you it you break ANY rules. Just be smart. I wish they would allow the timber to be cleared out from the recent fires. It is just sitting there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do something!

Fishing, hiking, boating in the summers; fantastic cross-country skiing in the winter. The Sawtooth Mountains will take your breath away. This is where people from Sun Valley go to "get away from it all"
