“Silver mtn winter and summer fun.”
Reviewed August 28, 2012

The longest gondola ride in North America doesnt just climb some little hill like the ones back east. it traverses some serious mountain. There is a top notch ski area in the winter and the gondola runs all summer for mtn bikers and those who just want to see the mtns up close and personal. tThe hotel has an indoor pool and waterslide for winter fun and in the summer there are loads of huckleberries on the mtn. if you know where to look.

“Summer Gondola Ride”
Reviewed August 23, 2012

We stopped to take the gondola ride and it was better than we thought it would be. The ride lasts about 22 minutes each way. The views were fantastic on both the ride and at the top. At the top there are trails you can take and there is some play equipment for the kids. (If you don't like heights you will probably want to skip this ride)

“Nice trip”
Reviewed August 23, 2012

We recently took our two granddaughters, ages 6 and 8 for an overnight stay at Silver Mountain Resort. I had read the reviews before we left and I have to say we found nothing negative about our experience there. Oh, maybe the noise as our room was next to the freeway and we had the windows open but it was a lovely one-bedroom unit. The waterpark opened at 11:00 and we were told we could use it if we got there before check-in time. We were allowed to check in early. The next day we had to check out at 11:00 but could stay and use the waterpark. I will say the waterpark is not very big but for our 6 and 8 granddaughters is was perfect. The price of food at the waterpark was expensive I thought but we only had ice cream.

“Gondola ride was nice, but...”
Reviewed July 28, 2012

The gondola ride and view are well worth the trip. At the top you can hike or ride mountain bikes. There's a play area for smaller kids which we appreciated. But watch out if you want to eat at the restaurant. It is very much understaffed and those there are poorly trained. Everyone's wait was extremely long and after ONE HOUR, our group finally gave up. As we left, the manager was apologetic but no one knew where our order was or what had happened to it. The restaurant at the base of the gondola had a better food selection, good service, and didn't lose our order!

“Summer Fun”
Reviewed July 18, 2012

This review is specifically for the gondola ride up the mountain. We stopped here last week so we could ride the "world's longest" gondola. The trip up the mountain was enjoyable. It takes about 20-25 minutes each direction. The tickets are much cheaper than during ski season since the main goal is sight seeing. Once on top the mountain, we had some snacks in the lodge. There is a play area for younger kids but not much to do for Tweens unless you ride mountain bikes, then strap on the safety gear and enjoy the ride down. The lodge staff were a bit overwhelmed since they had just finished feeding a large group of elderly folks and were expecting another large group shortly. It took a while to get our drinks rung up since only one staff member knew how to use the new register system. Other than that, the ride was great and the views amazing,
