“Loved this hotel”
Reviewed June 22, 2009

This hotel has all of the things I love about Hilton Garden Inns...great mattresses, selection of pillow types, wonderful linens, reliable internet, a super work chair, large bathroom with good lighting, etc. However, what makes this HGI special is the location. It is located on the banks of the Snake River and has great views of the river, and wonderful walking trails. This hotel is a great choice for so many types of travellers, business, leisure, couples, families, etc. It's about an hour and a half away from Jackson Hole and amazing views abound. Super, super place.

I can find almost nothing to criticise here-I can only think of the marble lobby floor, which is rather slippery.
THe river view is excellent the room and furnishings are excellent, and I found the firm bed comfortable. The choice and quality of the breakfast is very good.If you sit in an obscure corner of the restaurant at dinner the waitress may not notice you.

This is a new hotel and is excellent. Stayed here 2 nights on our way to and from Phoenix and found it great both nights. The rooms a spacious and very, very clean. Bedding and furniture top notch. Staff excellent and helpful. Breakfast was awesome although can't understand why they charge for it. Is in a great location overlooking the river with lots of good restaurants close by.

We stayed at this hotel as we were passing through Idaho Falls. We did not spend much time in the hotel, but were very pleased with it's amenities. Like other reviews have mentioned this hotel has the best views in Idaho Falls. It is a new hotel and is very clean & well decorated. It has a business center, that is open 24 hours. A nice indoor pool and exercise area. The lobby has a well-stocked, 24 hour, mini pantry that came in handy for a midnight snack. The staff was very polite and helpful. The only negative part of the hotel was the bed. I booked this room based on what I had read on the Hilton website about the "adjustable" beds, that allow each sleeper to select their on comfort level. They promote their Garden Sleep System as the end all in beds and they are far from it. They have two comfort settings; Firm and Really Firm. They have a simple dial on either side of the bed that in theory you can rotate from Soft to Firm but not one of the four members in our group noticed much difference. We all awoke the next morning with a less than perfect nights sleep. Don't get me wrong I would not intentionally dissuade anyone from booking this hotel, this is a nice hotel with lots of positives.. But don't be misinformed like I was and book because of their Garden Sleep System beds.

  • Liked — The cleanliness of the hotel.
  • Disliked — The beds were rock hard.

I like this place. Located alongside the Snake River you can request a gate code from the staff and walk down the riverbank to the restaurant and bar area of the town. This is well worth doing the walk is pleasant and the restaurants are excellent. But back to the hotel. It is clean, convenient and the staff are very helpful. This is a good budget hotel but the internet access is slower than dial up. I don't care about that though because I really enjoyed my stay

Beautiful hotel with questionable employees. They made a comment about a guest before me being a "crazy" after the guest had walked away. It was odd. What made things worse was after check-in I walked away to go to my room and the front desk agent made a comment about my rear end and what he would "do," assuming I would not hear him say it to his colleague. I am Appalled. I have never felt like this at a hotel before and will never go back. The Manager never called me to apologize after I left a comment card in an envelope for him. Won't stay there again.

The Hilton Garden Inn is new, super clean, in a fantastic location, and very well decorated. It's a winner.

We paid a few dollars extra for a room on the back with a private balcony and view of the Snake River. It was well worth it. The view of the river and the Mormon Temple is stunning. Rarely have I stayed in a (non-oceanfront) hotel with a view as pleasant and relaxing as the one at this hotel. Be sure to ask the clerk for the access code to the gate so you can use the walking bridge to the riverside path. It's only a few minutes walk to the falls. In addition to the great view, this hotel is also convenient to I-15 off the Broadway exit.

The decor is very attractive, the beds comfortable, and everything is new and clean and fresh. Attractive hallways and lobby. The pool is small.

This is a great hotel.
