I stayed at a Hilton Gardens in Idaho Falls for an AWPC Powerlifting championships. It was an outstanding hotel with a great atmosphere! I fully recommend it! I went to a local pub to eat (It was closing) I asked where the best food was served at 9 pm at night and they told me to visit the Hilton Gardens bar/grill! They did not know I was staying there..... And the food was GREAT!

This hotel was great - one of the best ever. Room was large with very comfortable beds and space. Fresh water and coffee available all day. Great front desk staff who were very helpful about local information and helpful with scheduling shuttles. Absolutely lovely setting. Super shuttle service. Great breakfast.

This HGI sits on the Snake River with the lovely town of Idaho Falls across on the other side. There is a mile-long riverwalk just outside the door. For those who don't know it yet, the beds at the HGIs are absolutely the best. I have a number of back issues typically causing a lot of pain at night, and I slept pain free.

We stayed a night at this property in late August in a top-floor balcony room facing the river. It was a beautiful night and very lovely to watch the river and the groups gathered below at the hotel's outdoor bar/café. The hotel also is directly across from the LDS temple. You can walk around the river, from one bridge to another, for a good daily walk, or just stroll along as far as you'd like. There are several nice restaurants nearby, most within walking distance if the weather permits. Plus this hotel has its own restaurant. You must pay for breakfast though, and here it was $12.95 each. We just ate in our room though, as it's equipped with a micro and frig.

Room Tip: One facing the river.

Thank you for your review! We are glad you enjoy our property and you enjoyed the larger room.
We do have a bed and breakfast rate that will include the breakfast with your room so if you do come back to Idaho Falls this is another option if you wanted to give our breakfast a try. (It is worth it)

This is going to be a lengthy review so bear with me. Please keep in mind that this is my and my husband's opinion; what matters more to us will be different for others. This was our first time in Idaho Falls and at a Hilton Garden, we were there over Labor Day weekend. The hotel is in a good area right near the highways; 2 hours from Yellowstone, close to Jackson Hole Wyoming and Craters of the Moon.
--The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, from the front desk staff to the servers and bartenders and cleaning staff.
--The location is absolutely beautiful. There is a huge patio with a bar behind the hotel right on the Snake River which many rooms also have a view of. There were gorgeous huge hanging flower baskets (the landscaping around the entire hotel was beautiful), a big outdoor fireplace with chairs and furniture for lounging, and tables for dining outside. So if you don't want to pay extra for a riverside room, just remember you can hang out there weather permitting.
--The room we were in (king single) was very nice, impeccably clean, with a microwave which I appreciate. The decor is neither outdated nor crazy modern.
--The beds are cool, they use garden sleep system beds, which have eight air chambers on either side of the bed that noiselessly inflate when you turn a dial on your side of the bed to "firm", or Let air out for "soft". Then when you lay down they exchange air with each other to conform to your body. Better than many hotel beds we've slept in.
--Breakfast buffet was great; but a little confusing. They have a menu with about 10-12 items made to order like omelettes, pancakes and French toast. You order this from a server. The buffet has other breakfast items like cereal, oatmeal, fresh fruit, and make-your-own waffles. It was all really good.
--Nice pool, hot tub and exercise room, and small computer room with free printing.
--Our only complaint was that they didn't have anyone staffed to work at the outdoor bar over the weekend, so anyone who wanted to have a drink or eat dinner outside had to order it and wait for it downstairs in the restaurant, pay for it, then take it out. Dinner items were OK, not bad, not awesome.

We would stay there again any time.

We stopped here on our way to Jackson, Wyoming and were glad we did! We had a room with a view of the Snake River. It had a small terrace overlooking beautifully maintained lawn/gardens. The staff was pleasant, the room was clean, and we really enjoyed our stay. We would highly recommend getting a river view room here and enjoying the breakfast in the lobby in the morning.
