Even though the lunch service was slow, the food was interesting. So we decided to try it for dinner. Bam! What a pleasant surprise. The service was great and was only exceeded by the food. My wife's pork Osso Bucco was excellent. My Mojo flat iron steak was very interesting (layered with flavors), but just a touch spicy for a New Mexican. The Argentina Malbec recommended by our waitress complimented both the Osso Bucco and the steak. The BEST dinner we have had in Idaho Falls. Be sure to leave room for the only dessert they offer...Chocolate cake.
*They need to move the ATM machine to the back.

“Looks Intriquing!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 25, 2012 via mobile

... But the service was slow, even for lunchtime! We stumbled across, and loved the looks outside and especially the interior, but i guess looks can fool. We did get a table quickly, but it took 15 minutes for the waitress to greet us, and bring water. We ordered two of the luncheon specials, and although my wife liked hers, I did not. Would I return? No!

“Nice Place!”

Good food and beverages. Sandwiches are the best in the city and atmosphere if great. You will enjoy eating here, and catching up with friends.

“Disappointing”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 6, 2012 via mobile

We have visited this restaurant in several incarnations over the past two decades. It was once our favorite place in Idaho Falls. I believe that the management changed as well as the location. When that happened there was a significant decline in the restaurant. We have returned occasionally based on references from friends.

Our latest experience was typical of our recent visits. The restaurant was busy and, as on previous occasions, the serving staff was overwhelmed. We waited for a table to be cleaned. We waited for menus. We waited for beverages and we waited a long time for entrees, which were presented in piece-meal fashion so we were not all able to eat at the same time.

The menu offerings were typical. There were standard offerings of burgers, sandwiches and salads. There was no unique dish which we used to do enjoy at this restaurant.

The food was adequate, but not significantly better than fast food burgers. A burger comes with an order of fries. If you answer "yes" to the question of fry sauce you get a container of sauce and an extra charge of $1.00. I think if a restaurant is charging $10 for a hamburger they can include fry sauce. In addition to the nickel and dime menu philosophy they do not take credit cards. They do, however have an expensive ATM you can use to obtain cash. Obviously they make money from the ATM.

I think we have visited this place for the last time. They offer nothing special. The service is poor. They have ridiculous "extra" charges and they don't accept debit or credit charges. Their prices reflect a gourmet experience, which they most certainly are not. My recommendation is to try another place.
