“Nice place”

Nice night! But cooled quickly server allowed us to move tables to be closer to fire. It got cooler and they offer fleece jackets for patrons to borrow while seated outside...NICE Touch. Would recommend

“As good as we remembered”
Reviewed June 4, 2013

This is our second visit to The Sandpiper. The staff is friendly and the food was very good. We love supporting a local small business.

“Sandpiper can be good”
Reviewed May 28, 2013

We have been eating at the Sandpiper for over 24 years. It has at times been fabulous and other times disappointing. Last month we went and had a great meal. This last week we went and were disappointed. Not sure why it can be so different. It is in a lovely location right along the greenbelt and river. It was too cool out to sit outside but is very nice when warm enough. The service was good. My salmon came so overcooked it was dry and tasteless. I had to send it back for something else. The vegetables that came with it were not cooked enough and cold. They did promptly bring my next choice and it was excellent. That was the Macadamia crusted halibut which they are famous for. Very tasty. Not much has changed there over the last 24 years. That includes the barrel at the reception counter filled with soft mint candies that you can tip and pour a couple out of. Be sure and get a couple on your way out. The Sandpiper is a good place to go eat with a nice variety of food.

“Soup and Salad too much to eat”
Reviewed May 23, 2013

I ordered a bowl of chowder, house salad and Milbrandt Merlot (Excellent WA wine). Waitress said it was a lot of food. It was so I enjoyed the rest of salad including yummy greens and chicken for lunch.

“Welcoming and delicious”
Reviewed May 18, 2013

We stopped in after nine in the evening, and although it was only an hour to close we never felt rushed. Loved the "wine of the month" feature - $5 for a great glass of shiraz/cab blend. The ribs my companion had were excellent, as was my steak. Too bad it wasn't warm enough to sit on the patio, which looked very inviting.
