“Great place to stay in the city”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 13, 2014 via mobile

There are many levels of camping. There's the camping where you seek solitude and to become one with nature. Then there is the camping where you need to be in a certain area and it's cheaper to camp when you have an RV. Our stay was the later type. Snake River is a nice clean RV park. The showers were heavenly. I didn't want to get out. The staff were wonderful. They had a water main break and came and told us about it. And gave us time to sneak in a quick shower before they shut off the water.

The playground was great fun. My kids hated to leave every time.

This is a very nice campground and we heard not a peep from any of the occupants. It's a pleasantly appointed campground with level sites and good services. Unfortunately it is located near some trucking depot and we heard the "beep beep beep" of trucks backing up all night.
I am not sure if this was a one time deal but other posts reported same type of thing. I would stay again though - the owners were very nice.

We booked there specifically because we wanted a pool for the kids. Unfortunately, the pool was down for repairs, but the stay was fine. There's a nice playground that our kids enjoyed. Sites were level and of decent size. There are permanent campers parked on one end of the campground (with full water/electric sewer sites), but we were on the other. Those spaces weren't unattractive or anything, but I prefer to stay places that don't have permanent campers. I'd have given them 4 stars if there weren't permanent campers, or if they would have disclosed that on their website.

Room Tip: Ask for a site away from the permanent campers.

The staff really goes out of their way to be helpful and friendly. 50 amp pull through sites with tables, awesome fire ring, and level sites. They even have some grass at every site and the dog walk is large.

We stayed here one night in October 2012 as we passed through on a road trip in our VW Vanagon camper. When we arrived the owner was very friendly and let us pick our own spot near the river. This is a well tended and clean campsite with good shower facilities. It could have been a lovely quiet stay, if it wasn't for the wood storage facility or factory next door to the campsite. As the evening went on and it became dark, we were sure that the forklift trucks and other vehicles would stop soon, surely they were not going to work through the night. Oh yes they did, it wasn't so loud that we were unable to eventually get some sleep but it did spoil what could have been such a beautiful tranquil spot.

On a recent trip to Idaho, we stopped at Snake River for an overnight stay. Park was nice, and staff friendly. Only thing we didn't like was that the spaces were close together and they are all "buddy" spaces, where our door and patio area was facing the door and patio are of the space next to us. Would have been ok, except that spaces were so close together. We appreciated the dog treats they gave our 2 little dogs when we got there - it was a nice touch. All in all it was an okay park and we'd probably stay there again for an overnight stop or short stay.

We called ahead when we knew we weren't going to make it to our original campsite, to see if they could accommodate us very late in the evening. The staff was very polite and said they would wait for us. When we got there, they were friendly and took us to our campsite. The hot tub and pool were open until 10 p.m. so we took a quick dip - very nice and clean! Quiet campsite all around. Bathrooms were very, very nice. Would love to stay here again.
