“Some good and some bad”
Reviewed July 10, 2013

We ate at the 17th street location in a strip mall.

Pluses: Very good chips, salsa and margaritas.
Minuses: Service can be slow; food often dry; restaurant dirty and worn

Food is good by Idaho Falls standards. The main thing we noted was that there was no enchilada sauce or any kind of sauce on our entrees...only lots of cheddar cheese. This made what otherwise was tasty food quite dry. My recommendation would be for the chefs to add some sauces to the entree plates and reduce the amount of cheese.

Service can be spotty, so of you go on a Friday or Saturday evening, you may get some things quickly and some things slowly.

The restaurant is well-worn and could use an update (new carpet and booth cushions to name 2) as well as a good scrubbing.

“Decent Mexican food”
Reviewed June 18, 2013

This came highly recommended by hotel staff. It was good but nothing really special. The atmosphere/decor is a bit outdated. The women's bathroom was really awful - dingy & run down. The location was nice - close to hotel and the river trail.

“Your average Mexican Resturant”
Reviewed June 17, 2013

They had good food, nothing out of the ordinary. Typically, the margaritas are freshly served in the western US, but they only served premixed drinks. There's a nice view of the river when you walk outside.

“Enjoyed our meal”
Reviewed June 16, 2013 via mobile

We started out with the complimentary salsa and chips and it also included bean dip- all delicious. We had the lunch size fajitas and ground beef tostadas and lots of food for sure- could never eat the full size! I would not recommend the cheese enchiladas - very tasteless. No complaints about the service- waiter very attentive.

“Good lunch spot”
Reviewed June 13, 2013

Came here for lunch with coworkers. Warm chips almost did us in - the salsa is very good, and the bean dip was tasty. The half-order of chili verde was plenty of food, and was very flavorful. Service was prompt and attentive. My coworkers were similarly pleased with their steak fajita, chicken burrito and camarones diabolo.
