We stayed two nights and used this hotel as a base for sightseeing. This worked well for us. We also spent some time looking around Idaho Falls.

It's a new property, very well run and set up. We had a great time and very much enjoyed our stay. We did have one issue but it was attended to without fuss and could happen anywhere anytime. We found the staff extremely helpful and the breakfast was EXCELLENT!!

Well recommended!

Let me preface this by saying this was the first time I set foot in Idaho. After traveling from San Francisco that morning, we took the shortest route to Idaho Falls which took us through rural Idaho along Twin Falls. To be honest, we weren't impressed with the state but this hotel on the southern edge of Idaho Falls helped us to forget about our long trip.

The hotel is situated just off the interstate which can be noisy at night. Our room was facing more rural agricultural land to the rear which helped somewhat. The rooms are spotless, well appointed and well furnished. My only criticism is they are a tad small. But the bathroom is perfect and roomy, the WiFi is free and quite quick and overall this is a lovely hotel. There is a patio area outside with on-site barbecue units for guest use. The lawns are manicured to perfection. We were so impressed with this hotel we cannot recommend it high enough.

I'm docking a mark as this hotel does not have any form of room service. There is an option to call Dominos Pizza, but given how far from town the hotel is, it wouldn't hurt to offer some sandwiches or fresh coffee during the evenings. Cookies are available, however if you've been to Yellowstone during the day, you won't have arrived in time.

We set off for Yellowstone before breakfast so I cannot comment on that. On the subject of using this hotel as a base for Yellowstone, be prepared for a long ride in and out of the park. It's about 2hrs south of the west entrance. This is the best entrance in my view having driven the entire park that day. West Yellowstone (the town at the western entrance of the park) is a bric-a-brac haven which didn't appeal to us in any way, so it was nice to head back to the comfy hotel in Idaho Falls.

As for Idaho Falls itself, we didn't see much of it but it didn't exactly entice you to explore. This hotel is perfect for Yellowstone and perfect for getting out of Idaho again :)

If all hotels had the attention to detail shown here wouldn't travelers be lucky. The experience starts at the front desk where friendly staff greet you, continues to the clean, comfortable rooms and ends with a breakfast unseen in most "complimentary" motels.
Kathy keeps the breakfast room stocked with much more than the usual assortment of dried out carbs - fresh fruit (melons & pineapple when we were there), a skillet of hash brown potaotes (not deep fried greasy sponges) and pastries that were fresh and appetizing. This is definitely on my list of places to return to,,,

Warmly welcomed at reception, where we were told about the hotel and its amenities. Our room was very clean and very comfortable. Although the hotel was a little distance away from the city restaurants, the free homemade soups, hot bread and cookies laid on in the evenings, more than made up for this. The manager and his staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help with maps and any information that we needed.

This Sleep Inn was a little hard to find on the edge of town (it was so new that our GPS could not locate it) but it was well worth the search. The well trained staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay (a total of four nights). The complimentary breakfast was the best and most complete of any we've eaten but the big surprise was the three choices of soup that was served in the evenings, Sunday thru Thursday. We also enjoyed the warm cookies served every evening. Our room was very nice, with a long bathroom counter...my husband and I could really spread out our stuff with room to spare. I left my earrings in the room, and they called me and will be sending them to me. This was a great place to stay!
