We like this hotel. The staff are great, the rooms are large and well furnished, the beds are comfortable, there is good access from your car to your room, the rates are very good, easy access from the highway, etc. We prefer the rooms at the back of the hotel for easy access to the walking trails.

We stayed at this Hotel this past weekend. It was absolutely wonderful. The room was very nice. The breakfast is great. The staff is always nice and helpful. We have stayed here before, but this is the first time I have written a review. It is an older place, and there is some work that needs to be done, but the price is right, the beds are comfortable and they staff is beyond nice. We will stay here again.

Room Tip: We prefer a room toward the back of the building. It has a river view and it seems to be more quiet...

Good sized comfortable, clean rooms. Lots of restaurants nearby. The bar was packed with happy customers. Included hot breakfast with lots of choices to start your day. On the road on our bikes so we just stayed overnight and this was perfect.

Guesthouse is not the chain I look for, but this one has been good for me ...

Pretty sure I have stayed here years ago, and likely will again if I get in the area, it’s just not a main route for us.

It does have dedicated truck parking, just don’t try to get around the building with a truck without checking it out first. You can access the truck parking directly from the main street.

Like most Guest Houses I have stayed at, this is an older motel that used to be something else. It has the perks, tub and workout areas, laundry, etc. Room was a good size and clean, quiet and the AC worked, or was it the heat? We came through snow and it is only September.

Restaurant onsite is worth the stay, lots of food for a fair price. A real surprise for ‘motel food,’ (you have to go into the motel to get to therestaurant … great food.)

We ended up staying here twice during our 2 week vacation. The first time we booked in advance, the 2nd was because we wanted to after the first visit. The hotel is older, so don't expect bright and shiny, but the rooms were large and clean. It is the staff that really makes the place shine. Unfortunately I didn't get the woman's name, but on our first morning there, I needed some hairspray to make myself presentable for an important meeting. When I couldn't find a place to buy some nearby (we didn't have a car) the lady at the front desk loaned me hers! Talk about above and beyond service! All the other staff were really good too. We enjoyed two breakfasts there. Plenty of good choices, breakfast burritos, biscuits and gravy, waffle, as well as fruit and sweets. There is also a bar/restaurant. We didn't have a big meal there, just an appetizer, but found it a friendly place to stop for a drink. The location is very good, especially if you like to leave the car and do some walking. There are lots of good restaurants within walking distance, and just walking along the river walk in the back of the hotel was pleasant. The hotel will provide a taxi coupon for a pick-up or drop-off to the airport, which is close by--actually not more than an easy 20 min. walk. We had no fridge in our room, but the wifi worked fine. All in all, a good place to stay.

Room Tip: The hotel is big, so if you have mobility problems, or just get lost easy like me, ask for a room ne...

The Guesthouse was definitely much less expensive than the other hotels in the area, which was what drove my choice. Staff were very friendly and helpful, room was clean, TV was large with plenty of channels, and bed was comfortable. Had a room on the back and it was an easy stroll over to the walk path on the river, which was very pleasant. I was just passing through and it was fine for a good night's sleep.

It's clear, however, that this is an older hotel much in need of refreshing. The back entrance lock was broken, the easy chair in my room was broken (to be fair to staff, was probably broken by previous guest who did not inform them like I did), and room lighting was a little dark.

If you are okay with the above, you will have a fine stay. If you want higher quality, you will need to pay more for some of the newer hotels nearby.

Room Tip: I would recommend asking for a room in the back.

Yuck!!! We reserved online. The staff out front was friendly and helpful. The rooms were filthy! When we checked in there were stains on the floor. It hadn't been vacuumed. There was stuff on the comforter and the sheets. We were 'upgraded' to a jacuzzi tub, but had to turn sideways to even fit through the door into the tiny bathroom to see it. The room was not clean at all. There was a horrible smell from the time you walked in the door and down the hall. The lock on the the outside 'security' was broken. We were told maintenance was working on it. The desk staff offered to refund our money. When we got down there she asked us if we would like to check out the apartment suite to stay in at no additional cost. We went up there. The room was much larger. It still smelled bad. There was a used plastic cup in the window. We got a refund and left without every looking back. I would NEVER advise anyone to stay here!

I am very sorry to hear that your stay was not a pleasant one. We have undergone a recent staff change in our housekeeping department and we are confident that we have a housekeeping staff that prides themselves on cleanliness. We have addressed this issues on topic with our maintenance and he is doing everything he can to fix those underlining problems. We do hope you come and stay with us again not only for a more pleasant experience but so you can see the changes we have made. Thank you for your review.
