“Relaxed Atmosphere with High Quality Food and Service”
Reviewed August 19, 2014

I've driven by this place many times, thinking it was just another restaurant that "didn't make it" until my neighbors treated my husband and I to dinner out. This house turned restaurant is clean and cozy. Just perfect for a romantic dinner or a night out with friends. The menu is limited, which I think is a good thing, and there are weekly specials which are not necessarily items that are on the regular menu. For many items on the menu you have a choice of the regular or small portion. My neighbor talked me into the large portion of tilapia, and amazingly, I ate all of it. It was absolutely delicious as were all of the meals at our table. While there are plenty of places in the area that are more expensive, have classier decor and breathtaking views, they simply do not compare in friendly service or quality food to the Kynrede Cafe. We already revisited with local friends and will be taking some out of town guests to this little gem in Hayden next week.

“Locals' Secret”
Reviewed July 1, 2014

This is a wonderful and quaint restaurant. It is family-owned and the atmosphere is casual and relaxing. In the wintertime, there is a fire burning inside the fireplace. They have a nice menu and there is something for everyone. If you are looking for a place to dine where there are not a lot of tourists, this is the place to go.

“A hidden gem!”
Reviewed May 30, 2014

You might drive past and never notice this place. It is tucked back in some trees, just a quaint little "house". It has a romantic feel with the tree covered patio available to eat or drink on surrounded by lights, or the intimate setting inside with just a few tables, a fireplace and hardwood floors. The chef and his wife own the place. We had excellent service and food.
We ordered they're soup of the day which was bacon broccoli cheddar. Very good. Coconut shrimp which had a excellent sauce with it and was not heavily breaded or greasy. I ordered the steak with Gorgonzola and onions and it was tender and tasty. The shrimp with scallops was also ordered and said to have been the best meal he has eaten in coeur d Alene. Their desserts are freshly made and decadent. Save room! The prices are more than reasonable, around $20 per entree or less I want to say. They only serve wine or beer, no mixers. They are only open Tuesday thru Saturdays 5pm to around 9pm.

If you want a wonderful meal made with love Kynrede Cafe is the place to go. Family run and they take pride in their food. It is a house turned into a quaint and relaxing atmosphere. We have lived here 8 years and just tried it a few months ago and we sure wish we had stopped in much sooner it is a gem of a place. We now have visited 3 times and plan to go many more times.

“Great food”
Reviewed April 15, 2014

Kyndrede's is a small neighborhood restaurant that must be one of the best kept secrets in north Idaho. The food is excellent, the wine list first class, and the service also excellent. It's a quiet, peaceful place to relax over a glass of wine and enjoy a fine meal. Be sure to ask about an "Idaho Spud" for dessert.
