little cocoa is a perfect sanctuary away from it all, yet close to the beach. open and well equipped kitchen and living area, with great wifi and cable tv. nice outdoor space that connects to main living area and good-sized bedroom. good sized bathroom, comfortable bed, closet space. super quiet. no sounds of motors. the sounds are of birds, breezes and friendly farm animals. very relaxing vibe. shelley is great, very helpful and has decorated little cocoa utilizing good taste. we very much enjoyed our stay.
Tucked away in the hills, not far from beautiful La Sagesse Beach, Little Cocoa is a lovingly and creatively renovated old building on an organic cocoa plantation. The kitchen and home are thoughtfully outfitted with everything a chef and nature lover could want, but the surrounding gardens, animal life (both domestic and wild), and the narrow road leading higher to the rain forest beg to be explored, as well. Shelley is a delightful hostess and we would love to return for a little longer stay. Next time, we definitely will opt for the authentic Grenadian dinner offered by Shelley and her chef husband, Phillip.
We visited a couple of years ago and decided this Feb to return. It was exactly as we hoped it would be,so quiet and peacefull, you do need a car.Shelley and Philip were there to help us if we needed anything.
Sadly Shelleys beloved dog passed away whilst we where there, very sad.
A few days of cloud but still plenty of sun. We did as last time and visited the lovely grand Anse beach and also La Sagesse which is very local
We are now over in St Lucia.
Hope to go back again soon
Thanks for everything

This is a stand-alone historic cottage in the jungle with three tortoises in the yard, a family of goats, three dogs, a cat, lizards, bats, and birds singing away. Shelley was such a great hostess. Lovely!
Little Cocoa and Shelley saved our holiday. We were staying at some very poor accommodation on the other side of the island, but Shelley allowed us to come early and have a longer stay. Having been so disappointed with our previous place, we were nervous about the overall quality of independent accommodation in Grenada. However, Little Cocoa turned out to be an absolute gem. It is well thought-out, amazingly well equipped, and beautifully furnished. Despite its wild surrounds it was absolutely spotless inside, and the owner, Shelley was exceedingly welcoming with her husband, Phillip, provided us with a fascinating tour of the farm. Be aware that you really need a hire car (preferably a jeep) to get the most out of staying here as the walk to La Sagesse - the nearest place you might like to visit - is 50 mins each way with a long walk uphill coming back.
Little Cocoa is exactly as described and then some!
Unbelievably friendly hosts.
Well equipped kitchen.
Absolutely beautiful location.
Off-the-beaten path in a great and adventurous way!
Of note, you will need to rent a car and Shelley, the host, can arrange it all for you! Mindful, you will be driving on the left, but don't let that concern you as you will be in a expert in a few hours. Make sure and ask Shelley and her husband, Phillip, for a tour of their farm and a chance to meet all of their wonderful animals.
The closest beach is La Sagesse, about ten-minutes away. Other beaches, Grand Anse, Magazine and many others are within an easy drive.
We took a wonderful snorkeling tour with "SeaGlass Flyboard & Watersports" located in Grand Anse. Highly recommended.
We can't wait to go back to visit Little Cocoa!
