“Lovely winter walk....”
Reviewed December 8, 2013

Walking along the Lido beach is always a pleasure. I love it in the Winter. The grand and splendid beachfront hotels and beach huts (which are al closed off), evoke a spirit of a glamorous age gone by. The beach is clean and empty at this time of year. There are lots of cafes and restaurants within striking distance down side streets for hot chocolates etc, once off the beach. If you like shells or have small children then this is great place to collect them (shells not small children). I was also at the Lido in May which was busier but nowhere like as busy as I imagine it would be in the height of the summer. Definitely worth a visit to escape the general Venice madness.

“Very disappointing”
Reviewed November 24, 2013 via mobile

Ok, I agree. I have been there at winter time, without all the glamour from the Summer and the hotels at the beach opened, that make an effort for this to still be one of the most expensive beaches ever; but coming from a country (Brasil) that have the most beautiful beaches in the world and living in another country that does not stay behind on the demand, Lido beach is very poor.

It's not pretty. The Adriatic Sea from this side does not impress at all.

Been there, done that; but wouldn't miss if I haven't.

“Lovely wide beach, clean and safe.”
Reviewed November 11, 2013

We enjoyed our visits to the beach, lovely to sunbath and swim. Plenty of people selling allsorts of stuff. and a couple cafe, bars. The beach was wide and alot of space, which is unusual on a italian free beach. will return again.

One can just sit on the ebach front and relax. Its an awesome feeling looking at the cruise ships move from one corner of your eye to the other.

We went in October, and the beach was ours for the taking, no crowds, gorgeous weather for walking and beachcombing!
