“Perfect for active families”
Reviewed August 24, 2012

Loved the beach, perfect end to a busy holiday in Europe. Our active family enjoyed afternoons, swimming and walking. Do advise renting at private beach umbrella, lounge chairs and included all day access to super clean showers and bathrooms. Food at beach also very good and reasonably priced for value.

“nice to relax”
Reviewed August 11, 2012

We got a vaperetto from Venice to Lido beach , the ride was gorgeous along the water. When you get to the destination, you do have about a ten minute walk off to the left ( ask if not sure like we did ) . The beach has great facilities such as showers, toilets ( wich cost 1 euro be warned ) plenty of drink/food facilities and i believe parasol/bed hire and the beach itself is clean but of course fairly busy , but worth a dip to cool off .

“What a nice beach!”
Reviewed August 9, 2012

Take the water taxi to Lido for the day; walk about ten blocks down a tree lined boulevard to the "Free Beach". White sand, lots of sun, and calm, blue water. The entrance to the beach includes a nice self-serve area to grab reasonably priced food, beverages, etc. We didn't take the time to actually swim, but if you're a beach person this would be a nice place to spend a day. If, like us, you're strictly doing a quick look around, it is still a nice place to go. Grab a gellato (or adult beverage if you prefer), spend a short time there, then take the water taxi to another island in the lagoon.

“Great for sun worshippers”
Reviewed August 3, 2012

Beaches are not for me, but we went for a look and were impressed at how well organised they were. Also amazed at how much better value the shops and cafes were in comparison to Venice.

“the only place to enjoy beach in Venice”
Reviewed July 25, 2012

If you want to enjoy the beach while you're in Venice. Lido is the best place. you can get there from Venice by vaporetto 1 and 5.1. then passing the main street of St. Elizabeth towards the beach. the beach is nice, sandy and clean. we enjoyed being there although one should be careful from the jelly fish that come sometimes.
