The location is quite good; close to the bus stop and water bus station. Breakfast was very nice and substantial. Lobby is a formal Victorian style. Rooms are very small. Our bathroom was recently upgraded and nicely done. I thought the price fairly steep considering room size and condition. Daytime staff not friendly.(Probably should exit the service industry.) Evening staff was great. Largest complaint was the horribly stained and filthy carpet. Very bad. Also, the bed was worn out but clean and sufficient for a night. Air conditioning was not working and it was a muggy/warm night. Lamp shade was badly stained. Also, beware of a 'local tax' they spring on you when you check in. Payable at checkout, cash only. With a few simple upgrades and lower price, this could be a really nice hotel. Next time I will try a different option.
