Just back from a 2 night stay at The Rigel. Small cosy hotel, a little dated but that adds to the charm. Reception staff very helpful. Loads of choice at breakfast which was a nice surprise.
Happy to give us hot water and milk so we could make tea in our room as they did not have room kettles.
Twin room, small but clean and lots of hot water. We did see into other rooms when they were being cleaned and they looked much bigger and had baths as well.
Would ask for a room at the front if we went again as lovely street view, we had a side view.
Small bar in reception but never saw anyone at it, but I am sure the reception staff would serve you as it did seem well stocked.
The hotel has a lift available.
It is only a short flat walk from the waterbus and local shops and bars, as well as the beach we we walked to.
We really enjoyed being on the Lido away from main hub of venice. It is so easy to access you can go to venice and then back to hotel to freshen up and still go back out to venice for night out as waterbus runs until late.More
