Villa Stella is a beautiful villa converted into an absolutely charming hotel. A perfect location which allows you to be minutes away from Venice (just a 5-10 min boat ride to San Marco) and minutes walk from the lovely Lido beaches. The rooms are new , spacious and simply gorgeous! The large beautiful windows are all new, very soundproof from outside street noise when closed, and they make the rooms airy and light. The Villa is perfect for families , couples or travelling solo. The rooms are elegant and spacious, and really soundproof, thick walls and quality renovation allows privacy and elegance. The gorgeous full buffet breakfast is served overlooking a beautiful garden, which can be enjoyed morning and night. We all enjoyed a leisurely breakfast while enjoying sitting outside and surrounded by stunning greenery and flowers. The breakfast is amazing. The buffet is a real plus , especially if you want to do sightseeing all day, and dont want to have to find a restaurant too early in the day. A huge selection of seasonal fresh fruit, eggs, cheese and cold cuts platter, fruit and plain yougurt, gorgeous selection of Italian pastries and desserts, cereals, milk and juice , full selection of tea, including herbal teas. Gluten free products available, and include a nice varied selection of choice. A real treat each morning to wake up to this beautiful breakfast under the warm Italian sun ! The staff are outstanding, friendly and just make the stay an absolute joy! I highly recommend this lovely villa for anyone wanting to visit Venice, Lido or other nearby islands. 5 stars!!!!

This was our fourth trip to Venecia, and second stay at Villa Stella. We (with two kids) are super happy with the place. The price is super balanced for the offering. Most importantly is the mix of fine mediterranean life style on the lido with the upbeat city life of Venice. Takes you 30 min to get
from the hotel to San Marco. We spend the days on the beach ad evenings in the city, great combo! Villa Stella is a great family run operation, classic venetian architecture, beautiful rooms, and fine breakfast(love the warm morning crepe's) We have had two different rooms and were happy with both. Staff is super friendly, very helpful and fluent in english. The WIFI could use a little boost, but Im happy to drop off the grid from time to time when on trips'

Room Tip: We loved the newly renovated top floor suite for 4'

We had such a wonderful stay at Hotel Stella. The breakfasts were fabulous and everyone was so helpful. They gave us extra directions around Lido and Venice. Our room had a beautiful view. Lido is so much quieter than Venice. It was great to go back and relax at Hotel Stella. We cant wait to come again soon!

Room Tip: we had the room on the top floor

True, staff is friendly and helpful, breakfast fine and the Villa clean. We saw three rooms (we were three couples) and they were good, but ours at the top floor was decidedly small with creaky floors and so so furniture. There was no wi fi in the room and in the reception area it worked only occasionally. Our bathroom was on the other side of the hall and pretty rickety.
If you want to be in Venice proper, you find the Lido pretty and residential but quite a distance away. I.e.: 15 minute walk (or bus) to the vaporetto (or waterbus) and then another 40 minutes to an hour, depending on which line, to San Marco.

Service: Outstanding
Breakfast: Excellent
Rooms: Ok
Shower: A little small
Location: Great, Only 5 min bus ride (15min Walk) to the water taxi and the water taxi is the best way around Venice whether your staying in Venice or on this beautiful island of Lido. Just buy a pass for the number of days you'll be in Venice.

The price of this hotel was the reason we stayed here rather than in Venice. The short commute to Venice was worth the cost saving of finding something of equal quality and after the busyness of Venice all day Lido is a nice relaxing island.

Very good stay in a 'warm' place. Excellent connection between Hotel and Venice. Two good restaurants nearby and a brillant bakery.
Nice place to stay with family; possibility to bike (offered by hostess); nice breakfast

This was the perfect place to stay for our family holiday to Venice/Lido. Very helpful staff, good breakfasts, beautiful room. We stayed for a week in August. The Lido is a great spot to be in to get away from the hustle and bustle of Venice, good places to eat and a lovely public beach (didn't try the private beaches). Very good public transport, two minutes on the bus from the main vaperetto stop which takes you to San Marco. Get yourself a Venice travel card.
