“Avoid - Musty Smelling Rooms”
Reviewed June 17, 2010

The best thing about this hotel is it's location in the beautiful Lido. It is located only a few minutes walk from both the port & beach in a nice quiet residential part of town.

Granted I got the room for quiet a good price however this is still a 4 star hotel and even though I did not expect the best room in the hotel I also did not expect my room to have rotten wooden floor boards or a damp musty smell either. This is obviously an issue other people have experienced as there were about 5 air fresheners under & over the old wardrobe. I only had to stay for 2 nights so did not unpack as there is no way I could have put my clean clothes in either the damp wardrobe or drawers provided. Maybe there are better rooms but if you are going please avoid both room # 319 & room #1.

As an aside the Lido is a very beautiful place to stay in the summer months with an amazing beach and would definitely recommend a visit - just choose another hotel.

Lovely clean hotel in a quiet position about 8 minutes from water bus stop. Staff were very friendly and informative. Breakfasts were continental but loads of choice only downside was the coffee (tried lots of options but never got a good cup). Apparantly you can request a Kettle, cups and sachets for the room. Buy a water bus pass for 24,36 or 48 hrs and you can visit all round the canal routes. Very good value as you can "'hop on and off'"all the time especially good if it is wet or cold! Visited the Trattoria Africa round the corner from the hotel after trip Advisor comments. It was excellent we went there twice. We used the hotel before a cruise.
Can certainly recommend this hotel and will use it again if I visit Venice.

I went to Venice with one of my best friends. We decided to save some money and stay in Lido, rather than in Venice. We took the water bus from the airport to Lido. It was about a 45 minute to one hour ride but was cheaper than taking the quicker water taxi. I actually loved the location of this hotel. It was very quiet, on a residential street. It was located about a five minute walk from the boat that took us to Venice each day. The staff at the hotel was very friendly. However, the room was tiny. We were very cramped to the point that our luggage barely fit in the room. I thought we had two twin beds but we had one double bed. Also, the bathroom was very small. The bathroom door wouldn't even open all the way without hitting the bidet. Regardless of the size of the room, we figured that we wouldn't be in the room except to sleep and shower so we could tolerate the size in exchange for the savings. In addition, the room was very clean. (I did glance into some of the other rooms that the maids were cleaning and they were larger than our room.) They did have one computer with free internet access in the lobby. I used it once and because the hotel is very small, I didn't have to compete for computer time. We ate breakfast one morning at the hotel. I wasn't a fan, but it was edible. I preferred to eat at the local restaurants on Lido. We did eat at a couple of restaurants within walking distance of the hotel and drank some vino at a couple of different spots on the island. The people on Lido were very friendly. The beach is only a short walk away, as well. I would stay here again.

The hotel is beautiful. It is located in Lido an island about 10 min. away from San Marco by boat. Nice, clean, hotel which is located in a very beautiful part of the island. They gave us one bedroom with a queen bed and then two small bedrooms with sengle beds that my kids loved it. Breakfast was great and the staff were nice and helpful.

We spent 2 nights at this hotel, before continuing on our trip around Italy. On first impression I found the staff at reception a bit abrupt and not too helpful. The location wasnt ideal for our short stay. Breakfast wasnt too bad though. The room was very small, but it did have a balcony which was nice. Overall i don't think I'd recommend it.

Very good location outside Venice centre. The hotel is 5-7 minutes walk from the Vaparetto stop on The Lido. St Mark's Square is just 10 minutes by aporetto and they run all day long. Our room was small and clean, suprisingly bathroom was huge.

Breakfast which was included was good too.

Only con is WiFi reception only in the lobby, although free,

there are some shops and restaurants and even a supermarket close by. A good place
to eat is "La Pizzeria" close to the Vaporetto stop at the start of Viale Santa Maria Elisabetta. We've eaten there several times and service has always been good and friendly, Pizzas are large and good, and there are also good pasta dishes and salads.

Overall this hotel did offer good value for money compared to other hotels in central Venice .
