“Hi ho silver”

First had 3 Horse wine at the Eagle, Idaho farmers' market. That experience mandated I find the mother vinyard out in the way out. After going down the road least travelled we came upon the modest winery with the enormous heart and excellent wines. Favorite is Vivacious wine. Buy the three pack. These wines are getting more and more popular for one reason. They're the nectar of the gods. Take a drive there and you will not be disappointed.

“Worth the trek to the middle of nowhere”
Reviewed October 2, 2013

Thank goodness for the signs along the gravel road to find this winery! Several times along the 4 miles heading out into the middle of Idaho countryside I wondered if checking out this winery was really worth the effort. And yes, yes it was!

The tasting room is in a converted modest farm house. The two women working the tasting room were fun, friendly, and knowledgeable about wine and food and the Boise area.

The wines were very good. We particularly enjoyed the Pinot Gris, Rose, and Merlot. The prices were very reasonable for the quality of the wines. We ended up buying several bottles of wine and were thrilled to learn that 3 Horse Ranch wines appear on wine lists around the Pacific Northwest. We will now be on the lookout for them.
