“DO NOT STAY HERE!!”
Reviewed June 23, 2013

The lobby didn't make the place look very inviting, but since we had pre paid, we check in. When we opened the door to our room we were shocked! The room smelled really bad and there was black mold on the window sills and in the bathroom! There was water dripping down the inside of the window. We looked in the bathroom and the toilet was cracked. We turned down the lumpy looking beds to find dirty, stained sheets!! We didnt stay, and got out of there as fast as we could to find another motel!(we ate the $68) I have never reviewed a motel before, but I though people should see this review before they make the mistake we did and book this motel.

I am so sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay here with us. We will be doing some renovation here in the fall to make our lobby more spacious and comfortable for our guests. We have reported your concerns about the maintenance issues and have fixed them promptly. It is mandatory at our hotel to not only to have clean rooms but to make the guests feel safe and comfortable. Hopefully in the future you can stop by again and see our new renovations. We would love to have you again.

Spent two nights at this unit. Having just left the Guesthouse Inn in Lewiston, Idaho, we were expecting this unit to be a step up since it was located in the resort city of Coeur d Alene. Boy, were we sorely disappointed.
This motel is 3 stories high.....and it doesn't have an elevator! You have to drag your luggagge up & down 3 narrow flights of stairs to access your 3rd floor room- Not ADA compliant. When we arrived at our room, it was missing the TV remote and a hair-dryer, which we had to go request through the front desk....another hassle. The bathroom sink faucet sprayed water all over the counter-top and you if you opened it more than a dribble. The bathroom was one of the smallest we've ever seen...... to close the door behind you required you to step between the tub and toilet to let the door swing closed. The 'complimentary' breakfast area is composed of 3 tables and 6 chairs squeezed into the lobby. One morning we went down to find all the chairs commandeered by guests, not eating, but "chatting", so breakfast didn't happen for us that morn. There are better quality motels all over CDA, so please take your business there. We'll never return to this place ourselves!

Thank you for writing us your concerns. Please let us know if we can put you on a 1st or 2nd floor room and help you with your luggage on your next stay with us. One of our staff members would love to help in any way they can. We are sorry to hear that your room did not come with a remote. During that time we were ordering some more and going through some " In-room" changes. We are renovating our lobby in the fall to make it more spacious and comfortable for our guest so you will have to come and check It out. Hopefully we can welcome your family in the future.

We had to attend a funeral in Coeur d' Alene and needed to spend the night. We looked at at several hotels/motels and then we found the Guest House Inn on Trip Advisor. The reviews were all pretty good so we thought we would take a try. It was great, the staff was very friendly, and our room was clean. The price was wonderful! They served a breakfast, it looked and smelled good. The seating was limited so we didn't stay. I would recommend the Guest House Inn to anyone!

We booked this hotel from a coupon book we found at a Montana rest stop going over the passes. We arrived fairly late, around 10:30 p.m. The lady at the front desk was polite and accommodating. Our room was quite small but it included a refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, soap, and shampoo. The room was fairly clean and we didn't have a problem with it except for the flat pillows. Neither of us wanted to return to the lobby to get extra pillows because we were too tired. In the morning we made coffee but realized there was only one cup in the room and so we took turns drinking our coffee. We opted out for the free hot breakfast but looked at it. There were hot waffles, toast, muffins, yogurt, not so great looking apples, cereal, juice and coffee and so it looked decent. We were surprised to see that the front lobby didn't open until 7:00 a.m. We are early morning risers and so we didn't care for this since we had to be on our way in the early morning. The beds were decent and they definitely beat a Motel 6. We would stay here again for a quick night only and because of the decent price of $55! It's definitely a no frills hotel!

If you are on a budget this is the place to stay! The staff was very friendly or responsive which was great. The location was perfect because of the central location. You pretty much get what you pay for. I apprecaited having a refrigerator and microwave.

The hotel still had the old smoke smell, but that will just take some time. We had to laugh because room 306 was backwards. The door handle had to be lifted instead of pushed down like room 312 (our first room) and the shower water was backwards.

We love giving each guest every amenity possible that is why all our rooms have the microwave and refrigerators and in-room coffee. I am pleased to announce that our hotel is 100% smoke free which is eliminating all of that smoke smell. Our maintenance at our property is also making sure all our doors are opening and running smoothly to ensure that our guests have easy access to their things. Thank you for your comment and see you soon.

This Hotel was a great value - staff / customer service was really nice and helpful and rooms were clean and comfortable. Conveniently located - 200 characters is a lot for a review - I guess I need to write even more - Thai Bamboo restaurant nearby was great place to eat -

We couldn't believe the price of the room. What a value! (However, the bathroom wasn't the cleanest and the bed was a bit hard. Good pillows, though! The staff was friendly and helpful. Restaurants are in easy driving distance. (The TV in our room flickere.) Glad we doubled back to stay there. Overall, well worth it.

Room Tip: (There are stairs no matter what floor you're on. A bit harder for seniors.)
