We were a mix of locals and out-of-towners looking for a nice place to eat. The restaurant was nearly empty. We were seated at a table with an awesome view... good thing as we had to wait to get menus (over 20 minutes!), never received a water for all guests and had to ask other wait staff to "locate" our waitress Kimberley several times during the course of our meal. When she did bring us our menus she retorted the hostess is supposed to bring you menus. When we asked several times for water she snapped for all of you? I guess she figured her tip was guaranteed so no need to care. Our bill was well over $350. The salad bar was fresh and although pretty basic what was offered was good. Steaks and fish were tasty. We would only return because of the view. For the price of the meals you expect better service.

This was such a great experience and meal. We were one of 2 families there, They do have a kids menu but not a lot of kids there. Our food was great, service was great. We asked our table busser questions about the area and he told us and didn't rush. Kids thought it was so cool to see boats coming to the dock and the people coming inside to eat. It was very peaceful. This is a must if you are going to be in the area. Make a reservation!

Plan to spend between 75.00 - 100.00 dollars for a simple meal for two. We had halibut and shrimp and 1 cocktail each. My husband had halibut that was about the size of a dollar bill but slightly thicker. There were 3 pieces of limp cold asparagus along with some garlic mashed potatoes. That was his 27.00 dollar meal! I had shrimp, which were huge but over cooked making them chewy and difficult to get off the skewers. The creamy rice that came with this was under cooked and tasted like it came from a can. The staff seemed unsure of themselves and made mistakes that you would expect in an entry level position, but not at a restaurant that promotes itself as fine dining. The view and seating was nice, but you can get that for free in Coeur D Alene!

I do not eat a lot of meat, but for our anniversary, we went to Cedars Floating Restaurant, and I ordered the sirloin ball steak. It was cooked to perfection, and literally melted in my mouth. The service was excellent, and Kyle was the best table busser I have ever seen. We are planning to go again when a special day arises, or maybe whenever we feel like a great evening out.

Ate early on a Sunday evening . Sat outside! Wonderful. The salad bar was a great surprise as you don't see that too often. Service was good as was the food!
