“Best steak around - be very hungry!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2011

This is the best steak restaurant in the area... perhaps anywhere! It's a local favorite and has been around for years. The building and atmosphere is something you just have to experience. Casual dining - jeans are perfect. Wolf Lodge has the best steaks around. They come as big as you can imagine and are grilled to perfection. Reservations are a must. Don't think twice - this is a must if you're in the area!

“Good steak, nice atmosphere”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 27, 2011

The restaurant is a few miles out of town, but worth the trip if you are in the mood for steak. The portions are large, but there are some ala carte portions that are smaller. Both portions choices worked for us. One of us was in the mood for fish and reported that the halibut was very good. Steak and fish are cooked over an open grill with cherry wood.

“carnivore's paradise, with abundant deep fried appetizers”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 19, 2011

if large hunks of red meat is your thing, then don't miss this eatery. Most of the steaks could feed two people (or one adult grey wolf).

Appetizers include deep fried pickles, deep fried mushrooms, deep fried mozzarella (you get the idea).

Cheery service and down home atmosphere.

Great steaks, and good service. There potato cheddar soup is the best I've ever had!! Will defiantly be returning in the near future.

“Take your chances”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 28, 2011

Living in North Idaho, we have visited the Wolf Lodge several times. When the steak is good, it is wonderful. The prices are high. This last visit was awful. I would say this is true about 1/2 of the time. Their salad leaves a lot to be desired. Just lettuce and croutons. That's kind of skimpy for the price of the meal. The bread is a donut type of fried bread - small in size and only one per person. The beans that also come with the meal are delivered in a condiment size cup. Obviously you go for the meat, and like I said, if the meat isn't good, well.... We have recently had better steaks at the local Applebee's and Texas Roadhouse than they were this visit. It will be a long time before I am ready to risk the price of the meal at this restaurant again.
