An old-fashioned road-side motel with tons of personality! It is clean, comfortable, friendly, and reasonably priced; all right in the middle of the super nice town of Coeur d' Alene! What more could you ask for? Walking distance to the Lake and really great shopping and dining.

Cute old fashioned drive up to your room motel. Great for traveling with a car load. The rooms are very clean , pretty small but cozy and the sheets are so soft ! The towels are fluffy, not what you would expect from a small motel such a treat not like a big chain with basic towels. The beds have working massagers ! Have not seen them in years.
The motel is close and walk able to everything .

Room Tip: They give you the keys to the available rooms so you can pick your themed room.

SO cute and unique, with each named and decorated room lovingly prepared. We had the Cowboy Room and the Tuscan Room, where every detail was attended to. We were greeted by the friendly, funny older gentleman whom we wanted to adopt as our grandpa and were gleefully happy during our too-short stay. Conveniently located within walking distance of the trendy Sherman Avenue, we will definitely stay here next time we're in town if there is any space. People reserve a year in advance, but we were lucky there was a last-minute cancellation.

We were planning to spend a couple of nights in Coeur d'Alene as part of our 40th anniversary vacation. When I was checking out recommendations on Trip Advisor I came across the Flamingo. "No way!!!," I thought! I'm positive that's where we stayed 37 years ago when my husband took me to Coeur d'Alene to celebrate my 20th birthday! The motel was old back then! We hadn't been back to Coeur d'Alene since then. But the reviews were all so fantastic I was excited to call and book a room. We were not disappointed! As mentioned, each room has a theme. It's all so charming! The owners are super friendly and helpful. It's almost like going back home, or revisiting the past. Old people like to do that, you know? :-)
The rooms are very, very clean and I loved the "homey" touches of colored sheets and towels instead of the boring white. The personal, unique touches are so fun and welcoming, as opposed to the chain hotels.
When we checked in we were given a heads up that the Farmers Market was open just a couple blocks down the street, downtown. The streets of downtown Coeur d'Alene are pristine and packed with beautiful, colorful hanging baskets of flowers, and numerous pots of flowers along the sidewalks. So pretty! And the Farmers Market was great! Some of the freshest and healthiest looking fruits and veggies I've ever seen anywhere! We bought some juicy peaches and some fresh popped kettle corn. Yum!
I don't see any return trips to Coeur d'Alene in our future, but I'm SO GLAD we were able to stay at this adorable little motel. It was the last 2 nights of our vacation and it couldn't have been better!
Oh, I almost forgot! The "magic fingers" machines are STILL in each room! I remember those from years gone by. We dropped a quarter in, and the softly vibrating bed put us to sleep before the time ran out. HA! We LOVED it!

Room Tip: Pretty much any room that's available! They seem to stay booked up.

Normally I stay at chains, but took a chance on this based upon the other reviews. Cannot tell you how much fun our visit was. Art was helpful in suggesting restaurants, getting us checked in, and making the stay enjoyable. This is an old time throw back courtyard motel, which reminded me of family vacations of my youth. The rooms have their own themes, which adds to the charm. Convenient to downtown and attractions. Skip the expensive resort and stay some place fun!!!

Room Tip: Check out the rooms on the web site- each have their own personality- loved the Flamingo Beach room!

I booked this unique motel based upon Trip Advisor reviews and was completely satisfied. Room was comfy and clean, had "homey " touches, and was just close enough to restaurants and the lake so that we could stroll to those downtown attractions. If we are ever in CDA again, this is where I plan to stay.

We enjoyed our stay so much. We loved the fact that each room had a theme to it. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. They had everything you could want. They even leave you little treats of Hershey chocolates. The owners went out of there way to make you feel at home. We switched rooms and they moved our luggage to our next room. We highly recommend there motel to everyone. They talked with us about the sights we should go see and the restaurants that were good. Thanks for the Best Stay Ever! See you again in the future!
