I have never stayed at a property in this chain before. When I arrived at the hotel my first impression was that it was a rebranded Hampton Inn.

The lobby was clean and functional. The front desk staff, on the few times I dealt with them, was very accommodating and helpful.

I was booked into a non-smoking king and the room was large and comfortable. The bed was clean and the pillows and mattress both felt new and comfortable. There was a fridge and a microwave combo in the room. A reasonable sized desk with good lighting, nearby access to power, telephone and internet (wired and wifi) provided a good work area.

My only criticism was that I was provided with a handicapped accessible room, which I do not need but it was the last room available. While I understand the laws and needs for wheelchair accessibility, there was absolutely no place to put anything down in the bathroom. A small shelf, at whatever height, would have been helpful in the "drive-in" shower.

I was at this property for business and I will look forward to returning to it when back in the area.

There's a "Shari's" restaurant in the parking lot. It was reminiscent of a Perkins, though with better food.

We enjoyed our stay at the Ameritel. The room was clean, a nice size, and quiet. Staff were friendly. But ...
re directions: we arrived too early to check in so thought we might go to Tony's on the Lake for a late lunch. The desk clerk gave us a map, with the route marked and described "East of the city, go down 23rd avenue to lakefront, left to Tony's." We drove East looking for 23rd avenue but eventually decided we must have missed it. Exited the interstate, and after following a two-lane road along every inlet of the lake for miles and miles hoping to get back to the hotel, we gave up and retraced our steps. Two hours and about 90 miles of unwelcome driving later, we learned that we should have taken the Sherman exit, which hadn’t been mentioned at all. It's a big lake! And yes, we would stay here again.

Having stayed at other Ameritel Inns, thought this would be equally as nice when we needed to stay one night in Coeur d'Alene. Unfortunately, it didn't come up to the level of the other ones we stayed in. When we checked in, we noticed that the bed appeared to be sagging and unkempt. My wife pulled up the side covers and noticed that the springs appeared to be worn. We both tried out the bed seeing if we thought we could sleep on it. It was so soft we both sunk way down in the bed. The mattress was obviously old and should have been replaced.
Called the front desk to mention the bed situation and were told that all the beds were brand new! Told them that if this was a new bed, the hotel got ripped off! They offered to show us another room to see if would be acceptable, and after looking at it, the bed was entirely different. This one looked and felt much newer, and we agreed to stay at the hotel after being offered the other room.
Although the second room was OK, the hotel just didn't have the overall nice feel of the other Ameritel we've stayed at. Also, the entrance to the hotel is unmarked, and we had to circle the block several times to find how to get in. Turns out you have to go in the Shari's Restaurant next door.

One of the nicest hotels i have stayed at. Rooms and beds are comfortable. Great breakfast.. different choices everyday & Lots of food to choose from. Rooms are quiet , you don't hear anyone outside or in the next rooms. coffee maker and fridges in room too. Very convenient close to freeway and just a few blocks from downtown.

We stayed at this hotel in May while attending a Youth Soccer Tournament. When we entered the hotel it was clean, friendly and the front desk was very efficient and had us checked in quickly. Our rooms were updated, clean, and bigger then most we stay at. The morning breakfast had a great selection, ( not just a muffin and coffee like some hotels have ) and is huge bonus if your traveling with kids saving us 40 dollars each morning by not going to a restaurant. Great job Ameritel I am looking forward to our next stay.

This hotel is perfectly located for a stop on a trip from Portland to Calgary. It is past Spokane so you get a jump on the second day of the drive. The price includes breakfast which included good tasting scrambled eggs and waffles. The room was quiet and the beds were comfortable. It ca,e equipped with a small refrigerator.

I love the 24 hour pool at this location. It is so nice to be able to hit the hot-tub at 5am if you want to. The rooms were clean and the beds were decent. If you're just spending the night on your way out this is a fairly priced hotel very close to exiting town. Also I have yet to see it running but there looks like there is a small water park next door which would be great for couples with children.
