Our waitress, Julie was very friendly and knowledgeable. The food was excellent. The atmosphere was cozy with a great view of lake Coeur d'Alene. The wine selection is nothing short of amazing with hundreds of selections to choose from.

Lots of mixed reviews on Beverly's. First, this is a fine dining experience in a resort casual environment. Fine didning is not generally cost effective. That said, the views of Lake Coeur d'Alene are the best. Our waiter and the sommelier where fun, attentive, and did a great job. The food was excellent. This is really a place for couples and friends. Not ideal for kids, unless you want to spend the money.

When driving through Coeur d'Alene, ID, which we've done several times recently en route to Montana, Beverly's is the place to stop to eat! It's at the resort, a short drive from the interstate. Delicious, lovely, great service, gorgeous view of the lake. Last week I had one of the chicken salads, not your typical chicken salad, can't remember what it was called, with field greens, olives, grilled balsamic chicken. On the return trip I had the halibut bella vista, with peppers and couscous and quinoa. Superb.

Recently dined here with the wife while in CDA for a few days. First impression-beautiful setting. Second impression-enjoy the view because that's really the only reason to dine here. Food is grossly overpriced and mediocre in quality. Service is amateurish and inconsistent. Brought the wrong appetizer to our table-not once, but twice! Wine list is great, but at 90 plus pages is way too long to decipher in one sitting. Only one person in the whole restaurant knows anything about the list and it might take him 30 minutes to make it over to your table. Wines by the glass selection is horrible, forcing you to play their game of ordering a bottle and waiting on "The Guy" to come to your table. Will not return to this place!

We stopped in for a cocktail in the bar one quiet weekday afternoon in July and were thoroughly amazed at how inattentive and rude the bartender was. We hadn't "dressed," but neither had most of the folks we observed being led into the dining room for dinner, who wore even more beach-like attire than we did. The bartender stared at me funny when I ordered a wine-flight from the menu we'd picked up from the bar, then returned with my husband's drink and said that menu was outdated and they didn't actually have that wine flight, handing me different menu. OK, so I ordered something else, which arrived a few minutes later, and we enjoyed our drinks and the lovely view, but 30 minutes after that, our glasses were empty, and we'd had no return visit from the bartender. So we got up to go pay him at the bar, where he coldly stated that because he "took too long bringing [me my] glass of wine," he wasn't charging us. [That was actually the least of his failures.] Moreover, he hardly looked at us as he said this, turning back to the bar (which wasn't busy).

We aren't hicks or hipsters -- and we've never received such snobbish treatment eating out in our native Seattle. Needless to say, we won't be returning to Beverly's.
