Our family (kids 10 and 8) were in Coeur d'Alene for two nights with the intent on just going to Silverwood. We stopped by the lake on the morning we leaving to check it out and loved it. After spending a couple of hours playing in the water and picnicking we got in the car and drove to Spokane. It was a bit of a disappointment so the next day we drove back and spent the day in Coeur d'Alene City Park.

We were there on a Sunday afternoon and there was a free concert in the park. The kids loved the park and of course the beach. We rented a pedal boat for an hour (only $15) and had fun pedaling around while the kids jumped off the boat and climbed back on.

The marina board walk is a neat walk. Take your time and wonder around.

Enjoy a fun day with the kids, swimming in the lake or playing on the really cool playground. The local kids love this one! Don't forget to visit the Millie and Mudgy (from the mouse and moose book) statues here and around town. Free maps available at the CDA library. There is plenty of room for picnics and a nice game of tag.

Our 10 year old grandson had a great time! There are extensive climbing structures and other playground equipment to keep children well occupied, from tots to almost teens.

We visited the City Park on a 97° day, perfect for enjoying the sandy beach & jumping in to enjoy the water. There are also grassy & shaded areas, BBQ' s & public restrooms handy. Very pretty view!

Got to take some time to relax. Watch the kids play in the sand and water. Great views. Parking is only a $1 a hour.
