Some things were under construction while I was there, but that did not seem to be the source of the anti-dog signs. Otherwise, the lake is beautiful, and the Centennial Trail or whatever it is that goes through there is a great walk/run.

This lake and its surroundings are spectacular. Fall sunsets across the lake are a delight to behold. If I ever decide to jump ship from Camano Island, ths area would be at the top of my list to land.

Best in the Northwest! Good fishing, lots of Kokanee Salmon and Chinook Salmon to be had here. Boat launch access points are a bit limited and get very busy in the summer time. If your going to fish, be sure to launch in early morning.

The Centennial trail in Spokane, Washington and the Coeur d'Alene rail trails offer some of the most picturesque easy bicycle riding to be found anywhere. Thest trails meander through the countryside along the lakes and streams for quiet enjoyment as you ride. Also, the ride across the railroad bridge over Lake Coeur d'Alene is another nice adventure. While you are in the area, don't miss a chance to do the Hiawatha trail that features going through several tunnels and crossing over some spectacular old railroad trestles on your way down the trail..

We loved the lake. Coeur d’ Alene is a fantastic town which is clean and upscale. The lake rivals Lake Tahoe in its beauty. The people of Coeur d’ Alene obviously take great pride in the beauty of their community and the lake. This is a wonderful place to visit.
