Paved pathway from Spokane to Coeur d'Alene. Only a small portion is close to the highway. Much of it runs along the Spokane river. The signage could be improved in the Spokane area but the rest is very well marked.

We generally ride this trail. We hop on the trail from out neighborhood and ride into CDA. We can make stops along the way for the kid. Ice cream or ?? Then we ride home. You will love the scenery as you ride as your own pace. The speed limit signs are rather funny as not many bikes have speedometers.

The path starts along the lake and goes past Spokane. You share the road with cars at certain places so it is not always a natural experience. The trail is close to the highway at times so there can be a certain amount of road noise to add to the experience.

This well marked trail which extends into both Washington and Idaho for many miles is a great walking and cycling trail for both commuters and for recreational riding. The trail is paved, quite wide, well signed and everything the people of Couer d'Alene, Post Falls and the cities of Metro Spokane can be quite proud of. As a visitor I was highly impressed and give this trail high marks as an avid cyclist.
