Over priced...smelly outdated rooms. Concierge only makes reservations for hotel owned restaurants. Restaurants were closed for private parties. Seems they only make their money by booking conferences. I feel sorry for anyone who has to attend a conference in such a dull dark and smelly enviornment

We stayed at the The Coeur d'Alene Resort in early September, 2010. The hotel is well located and nicely appointed but, in our view, overpriced. We needed bellhop service and it was very slow in being delivered and in fact we believe we were purposefully mislead as to timing. Anyway, we'd likely stay again but only with a better price.

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your stay. We are sorry if you felt you were misled about timing for bell service, that was not our intention.

Lodged here 9/15-9/19. Coeur d'Alene has a beautiful site with some great eating spots with outdoor areas, a huge beautiful lake and lots of possibilities for outdoor activities.

The Coeur d'Alene Resort has some beautiful, pricey rooms. It also has within its walls a previously existing older hotel with accommodations and hallway environments well below what you'll encounter at a Motel 6. Absolutely disgraceful how these folks rip people off because you don't know ahead of time you're getting that kind of room--we found out at check-in!!! I mean, you take some out-of-the-way elevator, go through a couple of doors, passing generally out-of-sight hotel employees, past hotel offices (which occupy some of the old hotel rooms) and transit a narrow "hallway" that was part of an outdoor entry hotel. Just truly shabby--old televisions, tiny bathroom, etc.

They also tell you that you're paying a tax that amounts to 13.4%. In fact, the tax is 8.4% and the other 5% extra you are charged is a "SURCHARGE!!!" You never see the word "surcharge" until you get your bill on checkout. Folks operating the way these sneaks do do not deserve anyone's business. Never again!

We live near the Coeur d'Alene resort and have stayed there many times before. This is likely our LAST! We were placed in a room that dates to the earliest days of the resort. The room is OUTSIDE and is immediately above the hotel entrance overlooking the drive through. It was small, dark and unbelievably NOISY. CONSTANT mechanical noise and rumbling ALL NIGHT LONG. Single pane windows let in EVERY sound from the entrance of the Hotel- people, vehicles- you name it. The room was like a cave since you had to keep the drapes closed at all time for any privacy as the window was open to the outdoor walkway- just like in a truck stop motel. The carpet was soaked next to the bed from a leaking fridge. To top it all off we had to pay normal room rates- the SAME as our friends who had a mini-suite overlooking the lake high in the tower. We were there for a two day bike trip and the second day was tough due to lack of sleep. We have recommended this hotel to many friends in the past but NO MORE. These rooms have NO PLACE at this resort and price point. We were NOT warned about the inferior nature of these rooms when we booked nor given any opportunity to change when we checked in. What a shame!

My husband and I stayed here for an anniversary and were very disappointed.Beware of the ever changing room rates and the "GOLF and SPA "packages. I made a reservation for 3 nights with one of them being on a "package". I was charged "package " rates for all 3 nights.!!!! It took a LOT OF GRIEF to get reinbursed. The staff ( not all ) seem disinterested in helping. It is obscenely EXPENSIVE for what you get. Parts of the hotel are old and smelly, but they get away with charging 5 star prices!!!!The lake is beautiful but please STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE if you visit Coeur D'Alene

CDA Resort Hotel is the place to be. Waterfront resort/spa & marina. Nice boardwalk around hotel /marina to talk a walk. Located in town so you can walk into town and the boat dock if you want to take tour boat ride around the lake.

Town and this hotel are DOG FRIENDLY.

A room with a marina view can't be beat! Enjoy a 90 min cruise on the lake, eat lunch or dinner from the top-rated Beverly's restaurant over looking the lake, and take an easy hike on the Tubbs Hill with spectacular views of the coast and environment. A great place to stay!
