“Biased, overpriced waste of money.”
Reviewed June 8, 2010

Rude, ignorant and openly judgemental to unique people. Freely overcharge then try to explain how they are within their rights. Extremely overpriced hotel. Worst and most expensive stay at a hotel I have ever had.

We stayed with family and our kids at the CDA Resort over a long weekend. The room was spacious, the beds were comfortable and the view was fantastic. However, everything in the hotel was ridiculously expensive. I mean, $16 for a ham and cheese omlette? Really? They had restrictions on kid pool hours which no one mentioned until we were swimming so that wasn't cool either. Oh, and they don't mention until you check in that they automatically charge you another $17/night for garage parking. You can, however, park on the street and they will remove the charge at your request. If your looking for a great value, look elsewhere. This would be a great choice for romantic weekend splurge.

It's a nice hotel. But it screams BUILT IN THE MID-80s. The lobby has low ceilings which makes it feel cramped.

The staff was pleasant but in now way went to any great lengths to offer me service.

The bed was very comfortable.

I had a room with a view of the lake which was great. The room looked modern, I assume it was recently renovated. The bathroom was superb, tile/marble floors and very cool shower. Room was clean.

I didn't experience the noise others have mentioned but my stay was during the week when the place was kind of dead. To the people who compalined about boat noise in the summer.....what do you expect? The hotel has a marina with a hundred or so boats. If you want quiet, rent a cabin in the mountains instead.

$17 for parking is ridiculous when rooms start at $200 a night. This isn't New York City where land is at a premium and parking is hard to find.

In general I had a good experience and would recommend it. But for the price you can do better elsewhere.

Right off, if you are travelling and need rest, do not stay here. Travelling across the country we stayed in many hotels on our last trip. By far the most expensive hotel we stayed in and by far the Worst hotel we stayed in. Although the view is very nice, the hotel rooms are loud, you can hear everything the people above you are doing even if they are being quiet. The night we stayed we had to move rooms (from 2nd floor to 10th floor) at midnight because of a party going on on the floor above us. Many complaints were filed with the front desk that night, but nothing was done. They did give us another room that was relatively quiet, however, it was still noiser than any other hotel we stayed in. Hotel trying to be fancy, but it is not working.

From our first call to book a two night weekend stay we were treated as though we were their only or most important customers! They worked with us to put a last minute package together that included a lovely room, meals and spa services. It is off season and the rate was very competitive..... When we arrived we were automatically provided a room upgrade without making a request. During our stay we requested to view other hotel rooms as we plan to return in the summer or early fall.

Our accommodations were beautiful. The bed and the bedding were extremely comfortable and the room itself was fabulous.... and the view of the lake and marina outstanding!!

The food & service at the Dockside was great! Our servers were fun, knowledgeable and smart! They greeted us by name each time we joined them for a meal.

The bell and valet service was also fabulous. Full of helpful tips about the town and places to go and tour around. The business office was gracious and helpful. We made some purchases and needed to ship some things home!

The Spa was lovely.... we had a 75 min couples massage on Saturday evening that was nothing short of luxurious. The massage tables were water beds and extremely comfortable. The therapists were well experienced and thorough. The tranquility room was warm and inviting while we relaxed both before and after our treatment.

One last comment… the lobby is very warm and inviting with a large open four sided roaring fire. There are comfortable chairs and places to sit on the fires edge. We met many Idaho students from the local area that come and spend time together around the fire and indulge in the wonderful desserts and ice-cream delights at the Dockside Restaurant. It is obvious that the resort is integrated and important to the local Coeur d’Alene community!

Our entire stay was nothing short of GREAT. We look forward to returning in the summer or early fall to fish and play that floating Green!

Had the most overall positive experience with this venue, from the hotel van, to restaurants to business center. The room was wonderful, spotless and service was commendable, linens and bed were perfect! Not one complaint, perfect place, beautiful place. Beverly's was one of the best dining experiences. Also, within short walking distance to shops and restaurants. Would definitely recommend CDR if you are interested in business or leisure.

I have traveled extensively in the US and Europe and found that the CdA Resort is top notch. Our room (on the 14th floor) was upgraded upon arrival. Very large room with king bed, fireplace step down living area, balcony and sweeping views of the lake and mountains. Bed was incredibly comfortable.

Valet, check in, restaurant staff and shuttle driver were all very friendly and helpful.

Spa was amazing (they'd spent $10M on a renovation a couple of years ago). Hydrobed massage tables. Treatment rooms also had a great view of the lake.

Beverly's restaurant was fantastic and very reasonably priced.

February was a great time to go - an unusually mild winter and we basically had the entire resort, spa and restaurant to ourselves.
