The outside appearance of this strip mall restaurant is deceiving. Walking through the door I was surprised by the odd decor that is a cross of thrift shop and grandma's kitchen. They have a huge selection of menu items that includes sandwiches, entrees, breakfasts and pizzas. Whistle Stop has both draft and bottled beer as well as wine.
We had the Shari's Special pizza. It was a rather strange combination, however it was very good. The pizza had a great crust and came hot straight out of the oven.
We went to the Whistle Stop on a recommendation from a friend who said the pizza and cinnamon rolls were to die for. Unfortunately a group of firefighters had proceeded us and cleaned out all the rolls. Perhaps we will get lucky next time.

While we were in Cascade we ate dinner at the Whistle Stop on a recommenation of the Ashley inn. We ordered their pizza and it was great. Talking to the waitress we found out that they make their own bread, burger buns, pizza dough and rolls. Being that everythingis being made fresh, you can taste it in the quality of the food.

Quick bite in lounge to watch the BSU game. Home made bread helped me decide to try the tuna - served with a creamy brocolli soup ($6). I would order it again. Hubby had a pizza that was very tasty; but certainly not NY style. Another visit we shared a fish and chips order - it wasn't that good/ small pieces of fried frozen fish. But, it's a nice enough place to watch a game in the lounge. Restaurant seems clean and well kept. They also have a separate dining room. Service could have been better. It seemed that it was the waitress's first day on the job. Slow and not very friendly.

But, it is nice to have a decent place to eat in Cascade (finally)
