The outside appearance of this strip mall restaurant is deceiving. Walking through the door I was surprised by the odd decor that is a cross of thrift shop and grandma's kitchen. They have a huge selection of menu items that includes sandwiches, entrees, breakfasts and pizzas. Whistle Stop has both draft and bottled beer as well as wine.
We had the Shari's Special pizza. It was a rather strange combination, however it was very good. The pizza had a great crust and came hot straight out of the oven.
We went to the Whistle Stop on a recommendation from a friend who said the pizza and cinnamon rolls were to die for. Unfortunately a group of firefighters had proceeded us and cleaned out all the rolls. Perhaps we will get lucky next time.
