Over the past 6 years we have stayed at the Oregon Trail numerous times. Pristine linens. No smarmy smells from cover up cleaning products. Great value for the money. Rick serves top of the line coffee every morning along with local bakery items and local dairy products. We enjoy our time at the Oregon Trail. I did read a review about the lack of ice but the staff has always brought us ice when it was requested. a. monzel

If MacDonald's charges 5 cents for a Big Mac Meal, i'll give it a good, solid 4. If it charges $12 for the same meal, I'll give it a 1. Price Matters! This is very true with the Oregon Trail Motel on the east side of Buhl, along Hwy 30. With tax (and an AARP discount), the room came to $62 for the nite. Good room. But in today's USA-Summer-Hotel-Rates World, that is not just good, it is a 5. If it had been, say, $100, I'd have give the motel a solid 3.

The furnishings are all a cut above those that you would find in a budget motel. Absolutely. Minor complaints were the outside door light, which i had to unscrew so that it did not shine thru the blinds. And the hot water for the shower was a bit off (needed repairing), so i got a cool shower but not a warm or hot one. But in the heat of the summer, so what. Both the Front Office and the town itself shuts down at 10:00 pm. There is a microwave and a small fridge. The place is quiet!!!

Circle your wagons at the Oregon Trail motel because it's a safe and pretty good deal. I have stayed there twice now for a work related overnighter and it is clean, renovated, and pleasant. Yes, if you're looking for a four-star hotel, that's not it, but for a small town you can't go wrong.

This is a nice road style motel that has upscale beds and linens. We had a really good night's sleep and appreciated the small continental breakfast in the morning at the office with local dairy fresh cream, butter, baked goods & jam. A nice touch. We found this to be a good value for the money and a nice diversion from the normal chain hotels we usually use when road-tripping. Drove to a local winery not far away and enjoyed the walk downtown to browse around a small town similar to the ones we grew up in in the Midwest. We will stay there again when in the area.

Room Tip: You park outside of your room so it is an easy in and out for packing the car, etc.

Excellent two-night stopover, to explore the Hagerman Valley and Twin Falls areas. Owner/manager very welcoming and accommodating on the phone when I had to alter reservations, and in person when I arrived. Very clean, large room. Beautiful linens, bathroom clean, and all needed amenities. Ice is available by asking at the front desk. Price is terrific. Would definitely stay here again. There are several good, simple, restaurants in town, but unexpectedly, the next-door Arctic Circle's hamburger was one of the best I've ever had.

This is great place to stay or I would not come back again. The rooms are very clean and well kept. It is locally owned and not a chain. They have a simple breakfast every morning and conversation. They are biker friendly. Rates are very reasonable. The owner's are great

A clean room, but the first motel I have ever stayed at in over 50 years of traveling that didn't have an ice machine. After a long day at the wheel, a relaxing drink is always in order, but to my incredulity this motel has no ice machine on the premises! Very inconsiderate to the traveler as an ice machine is normal and expected. Lacking such a normal and expected amenity (if you can even call it an amenity), I would not re-book here again.

Room Tip: Dont stay if you expect an ice machine.
