The casino is small, but offers a few different rooms. They offered a new player sign up, so we played a few machines. Nice view from the back of the restaurant.

Excellent food and very good value. The staff is very nice and the view is excellent. You can reserve a table and sit by the window that looks out at the Kootenia River. Lovely!

we go here often as it's only a 2 hr drive from home...like the non-smoking room and the hotel in now totally non-smoking - nice.

My wife and I stay at the Kootenai River Inn three or four times a month. The rooms are clean and each has a balcony with a river view. The staff is friendly and helpful. The casino is a casino. They keep up with new games. The only negative is their restaurant, The Springs. Like a lot of places, keeping cooks is a problem. The food here is so inconsistent you never know what you're going to be served. The prime rib is cold & the potato tastes like it was baked the day before. The seafood is fishy, and the burgers are dry. The Sunday brunch is the typical fare that is so bad that we just throw the free brunch coupon away. I would rate the restaurant on a scale of 1 -10 a minus 10!

the casino is very small with only 500 electronic slots...and the poker table is video poker with a dealer...got me there....why do you need a dealer on an electronic game?...it was a great couple hour kill of time for dinner and some slots...not a lot else up here...the river view is superb though.
