We like the economy but hotel carpet and hallways drab and dirty...the room seemed OK but TV picture poor...they use cabs as airport shuttle and that service was very good ( even at 4 am!) They promised a first floor room ( ski injury, on crutches, needed room close to entrance) but could not accommodate this after requesting this ahead of time.
I rated this a 4 because it's only 30 bucks on hotwire. It is popular with college students and the walls are super thin so you hear noise all night. our shower curtain arc was broken so the curtain slid to the center of the rod during the shower. The pool was nice, heated to comfortable for a Wyoming boy but too cold for the southern women that were there also. All in all a room with a pool and hot breakfast for 30 bucks is pretty good.
Late entry...I stayed at the property for a two day meeting. The good news: it it is right off I-84 which is also right across from the Boise airport. There is a 24-hour mini mart next door....The bad news: Checking in I noted the placard about how serious Super 8 is about their commitment to excellence. When I went to use the shower the following morning I noticed a bar of soap and shampoo bottle left in the shower = I was stepping into a dirty shower. Ewww! I made a note to complain when I returnd for an afternoon break. I left a note on the bed to change the linen.
I returned to the property about 4-5 pm to relax before returning to the meeting. The room had not been made up!!!!! I was furious. I called the front desk to complain and have the room made up. The housekeeping staff was off for the day. The front desk offered to bring me towels and bedding to so I could remake the bed. I told them I was not paying to stay here to do my own housekeeping. Apparently, it was the fronk desk clerk who came down to change the bed. She was apolgetic on her version of making a bed vs. how it is normally done. I told her no problem. She should have not been put in the position in the first place. Instead of relaxing, I watched my room being cleaned.
Back to the good news: The manager gave me a discount on my stay. I spoke to the housekeeping supervisor when I checked out. She appeared concerned and would speak to their housekeeping staff who we all know are the usual source to be hired and are not motivated.
I've had this issue at other properties where towels, etc. are left for one person when the norm is stocking as if two guests would be in the room. What is so complicated about that!!
