“Typical Courtyard”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2014

Marriott states this a downtown hotel; but it really a Boise University Hotel as it is closer to that part of town rather downtown. If you are into walking you can walk 15 mins to 8th St. If not book a hotel by the 8th St corridor. There is an indoor pool with hot tub and and an outdoor courtyard with wicker seating, fire pits and trees for some summer shade. The rooms are on the small size, nicely furnished with good cable tv selection. The lobby like many other Courtyards has been turned into a casual eatery and bar. Food selection is limited as is bar section. Lobby seating works well for eating, drinking, or lobby hangout.

Room Tip: If you like quiet pick a room away from courtyard especially during football season

Thank you for your review. While being close to Boise State we are also close to many downtown businesses and restaurants. In addition to Julia Davis Park, Boise Art Museum, Zoo Boise, Discovery Center and the Boise River Greenbelt. The walk to 8th street is about 15 minutes but with many shops, restaurants, and historic sites along the way.

Very nice Marriott Courtyard just off Broadway in downtown Boise and very close to Boise St. U, Fort Boise and the walking/running paths along the river. In fact, for Volkssporters doing the Boise Capital Walk, its right on the trail and a great place to start/finish. Very upscale decor in the lobby / breakfast area, reminded me of Europe. Friendly staff, great, clean room w/king bed. Short walk to a terrific brew pub / sports restaurant "the Ram." Stayed on points, but good value / affordable if we hadn't.

As with most Marriott hotels the staff are very helpful and welcoming. I had a package delivered to the hotel on the day of check-in and they had it ready for me. The rooms are clean and the facility itself was well maintained with an awesome center courtyard.

I recently stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott Boise Downtown location. The hotel is in an excellent location. There are many places that are easily accessible by walking.
The staff was great. Very helpful and friendly.
This Courtyard has a Bistro with a Starbucks. If you don't want to utilize this, there are restaurants within walking distance.
The Courtyard also offers shuttle service to/from the airport.
There was only one "negative". Even though the lobby is newly remodeled, the rooms seemed a little outdated. Overall, this is a great place to stay!

We spent 5 nights here recently, while visiting the area. Centrally located to the very walkable downtown Boise. This Courtyard hotel has a great courtyard with many wicker chairs and love seats around a large fire pit , as well as tables and chairs, making it a perfect place to gather for conversation or end of day relaxation. Located near Boise State, Camelback Mts., and park, and blocks from fabulous eateries and unique shops.

We chose this hotel for the convenience of the location and the price. It was centrally located to Downtown Boise and very well maintained. The rooms were clean and a nice size. Overall a very good value. Strongly recommend.

Really average small rooms- ok for one person but too small for two people. No shelf in bathroom so have to balance bath products on two little shelfs in the shower. Room was clean but this hotel feels worn. Refrigerator is in closet so hanging clothes longer than shirts is tough. Because the refrigerator is in the closet, luggage rack has to be out in the room. But, you have to ask for a luggage rack. No free breakfast which i thought was standard at Courtyard Marriotts. Staff is friendly but facility just isn't up to it. Having just stayed at another Courtyard Marriott in Tacoma the night before, it was night and day even though the same chain.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your stay with us. We appreciate your observations regarding the design elements of our guest rooms and will utilize in the planning of our upcoming renovation.

We apologize that we did not meet your needs for breakfast. Courtyard as brand offers our Bistro restaurant with many selections for guests whether it be coffee and a bagel to go or a full breakfast cooked to order in the morning. We then offer selections for light afternoon and evening meals, beer, wine and cocktails.
