This 6 day stay was a gift for my time in Boise while supporting a family member in the hospital. For such a stressful time, this hotel and the staff just made it such a blessing to be there. Loved that I could walk to restaurants, including the Basque area and historic district. Close to the hospitals, great view from my room. The staff were super friendly and provided great service. I have to be strict gluten-free with my diet and they even had gluten free bread for breakfast! Hated to leave and will make it a goal to stay there next time I am in town!

Room Tip: loved the room on the 10th floor on the eastside - view of the sunrise in the mornings!

Thank you for choosing to stay with us Kari D. Having a family member in the hospital is so difficult.I am glad that we could be your respite. I hope they have fully recovered!

I am empathetic with how difficult it can be to travel and find gluten free options. Great to hear our breakfast team took great care of you!

Great room tip also as the sunrises are beautiful any time of year! Come back for a leisure trip soon!

Kind regards,

Jennifer

The Hampton Inn and Suites in downtown Boise is excellent. This is a great location for both business travelers and tourists wanting to experience all the charm Boise has to offer.

Located in the heart of the theater and restaurant district, the hotel offers great service at a reasonable price. Two blocks from the local stage theaters, the hotel also is just a short walk to the Green Belt river walk and the Boise Art Museum. Just outside the door is a 9-show movie theater and there are a dozen excellent restaurants and coffee shops nearby.

By far the best feature of this hotel is the staff. The friendly, helpful and professional people who work here, from the front desk team to the housekeeping folks, impresses even the most jaded traveler. The employees sincerely like each other and their hotel, and it shows. Whether giving helpful advice on places to eat and things to see, or efficiently arranging checkout, the Hampton Inn Boise Downtown crew really goes the extra mile.

The pros: spotless rooms that, despite some older chairs and couches, are well maintained and inviting. The hotel offers an extensive selection of satellite TV and on-demand TV video. Excellent free WiFi. Microwaves and small refrigerators add to convenience and comfort. Very good fitness facility and small indoor pool, ideal for kids. Great business center with actual office supplies and working printers.

The complimentary daily breakfast bar (6-10 a.m. daily) was nothing to write home about, but can accommodate any dietary needs. There are hot trays of mediocre microwaved omelets, but the fresh fruit and oatmeal make up for the hot-side shortcomings. There's ample space in the dining area to enjoy breakfast without being elbow-to-elbow with the other guests. There's always complimentary hot coffee and tea in the lobby.

The cons: room windows don't open – you're dependent on the in-room heat/ac with no fresh air. Depending on the level of Fabreze used by housekeeping, this can be a real minus. While there are "enough" electrical outlets available, you still need to hunt for bedside outlets behind the end tables.

The "other:" There is a public parking garage attached to the hotel, with direct lobby access, for $10 a day, unlimited entry and exit using your room key. Your room key also activates the elevator – a nice hotel security perk. In addition, there's a front desk "store" with food and sundries in case you prefer to eat in your room.

I'll definitely stay here again if I find myself in Boise. The property is quiet, comfortable and has a great location, but the friendly and helpful staff is what would really get me to return. If you're a tired traveler, the people can make all the difference – something this Hilton Family property has figured out.

Dear TechPAO,
Thank you for such a great review! Your compliments to the team have been shared and are very much appreciated! I love seeing that you enjoyed some of our recently upgraded amenities such as the free WiFi and newly renovated fitness center! Your frustration in finding outlets in the guestroom has a fix on the way! We will soon have power boxes with multiple outlets and USB ports on the nightstand.

I love that you discovered so much about Boise on your trip. It is wonderful to have it all so close to the hotel. Next time you are here, stop at the front desk and we can uncover even more fun within walking distance! See you soon!

Cheers,

Jennifer

I recently stayed at this hotel for two nights on a business trip. It appears to be a fairly new property. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. Clean, spacious, modern rooms and very comfortable beds. The location is great. You're downtown surrounded by good restaurants and only a couple of blocks from a large park that runs along the river and that includes museums and a zoo. You can stay downtown and still enjoy the great outdoors. The breakfast was okay. Typical hotel breakfast buffet, plenty of choice but not such great quality. If you have a little free time walk a couple of blocks to the Anne Frank Memoria. It's beautifully done and a bit of a surprise to find it in Boise, Idaho.

Being a gold reward member with Marriott I had never stayed at the Hampton Inns, but this time around I got a good rate and decided to try it, mainly for its location. Would definitely recommend it! First of all it's right in the heart of downtown Boise, a long walk from the football stadium (I was there for the Broncos game). You can actually take the free downtown shuttle to and from the stadium, but I decided to walk (about a mile and a half). Rooms are nice, spacious, clean, with a good view of the city. Breakfast was the best free breakfast I ever had. You have your choice of eggs, waffles, sausage, bacon, cereals, yogurt, fruit, muffins, breads, milk, tea, coffee, you name it. And the lovely girls at the front desk make you feel right at home. Thanks Hampton and thanks Boise! Good hotel, better people!

This is one of the nicer Hampton Inn's I've stayed at. It's in a great location in regards to activities, restaurants and bars. The rooms are large, clean and nice. The staff is extremely accommodating. Book early though as its close to BSU campus and game days make it almost impossible to get a reservation.

I stayed here on a business trip and I must say, fabulous hotel. The location is perfect as it is near the BSU campus, in the heart of the arts district in downtown Boise, and near the local college bar scene. The hotel itself is also very nice as the breakfast is top notch......the bagel toppers one morning and then the southwest omelets the next were amazing. Great overall variety in the breakfast. Also, they serve coffee, tea, and cookies all day which is nice. Parking garage onsite is convenient and having to use your card to get to your floor in the elevator adds another sense of security. This is a MUST stay in Boise and I'll be back soon!

We stopped in Boise as we were travelling towards California. The hotel was nicely located and had great rooms. Breakfast was very average. Service was good. Although i stay well over 50 stay per year at the Hilton family with Gold membership, the hotel did give any upgrades for our room.
