Oxford Suites Boise
Ranked #1 of 58 Hotels in Boise
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed May 9, 2013

I have no other hotels to compare with in the Boise area, but on a recent road trip we did stay one night at the Oxford Suites. Our room was located on the ground floor next to the lobby, and was quiet. Our room was starting to show signs of wear, carpet needed to be streched and pillows were old and lumpy. They had just replaced the tv and they forgot to program it , so we had to call for someone to come down and get it working. Trouble getting wi-fi to work, told to go out into the hallway and that worked for most, it did work for us. Breakfast buffet was down in the basement, we were running late and there was not much left when we got there(our fault). This hotel is in a convienent location close to interstate and restaurants.

So bottom line, not a great experience, not a bad experience.

Oxford Suites in Boise were wonderful and very easy to work with to bring a soccer team full of 14 year old boys to . Clean, large, and up-to-date rooms. Hotel Staff was very friendly and wnet out of their way to accommodate everything for our soccer team (extended the morning breakfast hours so our boys could have breakfast after an early morning soccer game).

Oxford Suites is a charming, friendly hotel with a high end ambiance. This hotel is several steps above the competition because of their attention to detail and quality. For example; the rooms are large, custom bolsters, quality bedding, double pane windows that open to outside, cozy chaise lounge, large work desk, fireplace (in some rooms) plus an amazing ensuite bathroom. The bathroom is beautiful with tile/marble, a separate tub and shower with a toilet closet. High end products on a wall dispenser, showing a green effort. The king bed was fabulous. It is one of those beds that when you crawl in you know you will have a good nights sleep- priceless!
There is also a little refrigerator, microwave and bar sink which is very helpful.

The lobby is warm and welcoming with a fireplace and a water feature. The exercise room is complete with a steam room and sauna. The pool area includes a hot tub and little kiddie pool- perfect for relaxing after a long day or letting the kids burn off some energy.

I loved the cooked to order breakfast. The cook, Don was a delight to talk with while he creates a great omelet or waffles for you. They have just about anything you could want, including hand cut fresh fruit. During the week they offer a complimentary happy hour with a good selection of food, not just the typical chips/salsa and flimsy carrots. The dining/bar area is on the lower lobby. It feels more like a large family room where you'd like to invite your friends. There are several grouping of leather chairs, fireplace and fun wall art.
Pets and sports teams are assigned the first or second floor, so if you don't fit in either of those categories request the 3rd or 4th floor. I traveled this time with my golden, the charge is $25.00 per visit up to 7 days. They claim to shampoo the carpet and sanitize the rooms before and after the pets stay.
Because I travel extensively I have learned to appreciate the little things; key card that opens every time, air conditioner that doesn’t rattle, a window that opens for fresh air, TV remote that works, 3 way lamps that actually have 3 way bulbs and showers that deliver real water, not water and air! Not one frustration with this stay!
The location is excellent, walking to several restaurants, movie theater and shopping. Just down the street is a Walmart and grocery store. A short drive is the 25 mile river walk.
This hotel is top rate and could hold it’s own among the top hotels in any large city. – Only it would cost 3 times as much!! I will for sure look to see if an Oxford Suites is in the area the next time I need a hotel.

Enjoyed our stay, large comfortable bed and clean room. Close to stores and restaurants. Nice front lobby with friendly staff. Free breakfast buffet with good selection of food. We stayed here for a soccer tournament and management extended buffet time to one hour later than normal to accommodate soccer teams staying at the hotel. Quiet location, would stay here again.

This is the #1 rated hotel in Boise, with a decent price. I rarely make a reservation for a hotel without checking with tripadvisor. This was a quick trip to Boise for a nearby dance competition for my daughter and myself. The hotel is in a good location right off the highway with plenty of nice restaurants in the same area (within walking distance) The hotel lobby is very nice and the staff professional. The room was pretty good (not amazing, but I am pretty particular with my rooms) the bathroom was very nice. The reason I give five stars here is because it is a very nice hotel with nice rooms and a great breakfast buffet included in the price. Beds are extremely comfortable. I would stay here again.

Stayed at the Oxford Suites in early April and enjoyed it a lot. The hotel is very neat and the rooms are large. It's comparable to a Hilton Garden Inn but you get a nice breakfast buffet included in the room rate. The location is nice and quiet and there are several restaurants and stores nearby. Te front desk staff is friendly and the hotel offers a free shuttle to and from the airport.

Very happy with this hotel. It is a high-quality, clean, new place. The bathroom has granite counters and tiles. The room decoration is a notch above what you would find at a Marriott. The free breakfast buffet is great, with cooked-to-order omelets and lots of fresh fruit. My room had a microwave and fridge and free in-room coffee. It is very quiet, and overall a very good place to stay. You can open the window!

I had originally booked a stay at the Modern Hotel and Bar, but bailed on that place when I got there are found it was in fact a refurbished motel with small dark rooms and basically none of the amenities usually offered at a hotel.. I called the Oxford Suites and made a reservation, then drove over directly. When I arrived, I thought: "this is more like it". When I got to my room, I breathed a sigh of relief. Thanks, Oxford Suites.
