Review of Hyde Park

Hyde Park is a few short blocks of old renovated buildings, some fusion architecture, and converted homes - all of which house various shops, stores, and restaurants. Camels Back Park is sort of included when you mention Hyde Park, as they are so close. Some of the shops come and go quickly, due to the rent I would guess, but some have endured - a book store, ice cream parlor, and the Java to mention a few. It is very common on a weekend evening to find a hundred cruiser, mountain, and road bikes all parked near one of the outdoor cafes, a handful of dogs laying next to their owners, skateboarders going down the street, and lots of small kids. It is very 'North End'.

I love walks and this is a nice change from just a simple park. Beautiful homes, cool shops and yet a park feel.

Fabulous Packer bar the even had cheese curds! I haven't lived in Wisconsin for 40 years but this place always feels like going home.

Good and bad of it is that every weekend when its warm it is crowded. But that said you must go at least one time, look in the stores, try different foods and meet new people. You can walk, ride, skate. Bring the pets too Camel park is right there
