Hyde Park is a few short blocks of old renovated buildings, some fusion architecture, and converted homes - all of which house various shops, stores, and restaurants. Camels Back Park is sort of included when you mention Hyde Park, as they are so close. Some of the shops come and go quickly, due to the rent I would guess, but some have endured - a book store, ice cream parlor, and the Java to mention a few. It is very common on a weekend evening to find a hundred cruiser, mountain, and road bikes all parked near one of the outdoor cafes, a handful of dogs laying next to their owners, skateboarders going down the street, and lots of small kids. It is very 'North End'.
