Went with my wife's family and really enjoyed the Winter Lights Carnival. It was really cold, which isn't their fault, just Idaho. Overall, it was a really good experience.

We came up from SLC to see Steely Dan. Nice venue & I was impressed by security. We had to use handicap parking which was close to the line. I was in a walking boot for an injury so that was very nice. It was a long time getting out after the concert but there were emergency vehicles coming in. The show was great! Nice to see so many people dancing.

Boise's Botanical Garden is a relaxing place to walk and enjoy the flowers. From the rose garden to the desert exhibit overlooking the city, this is a great place to bring visitors.

We love visiting the Gardens throughout the year. Whether enjoying the Christmas extravaganza or simply waking through the gardens during warm weather, it is truly delightful. The outdoor concert series is an incredible experience. Top notch bands perform to family friendly crowds. Leave your inhibitions as home. Dancers range in ages from toddlers to the elderly. Bring an event chair and enjoy. You can bring your own wine and food, or purchase excellent food and wine at the event. Parking is free.

First off, if you're here in November and December, definitely go see the Christmas light show. It's one of the local highlights of the Christmas season.

Next, there is an interesting collection of native plants, from alpine trees along a pathway going up a hill to drought tolerant plants in a xeric setting.

The IBG also has a very nice rose garden and formal gardens. It can get a little hot in summer though, so visit in the morning.
