Finally found time to drive into Boise around Christmas to see the Idaho Botanical Gardens. Great way for the entire family to spend a evening and get into the Christmas Spirit. We may make this an annual ritual.

If you can, go during Spring...the aroma is wonderful! I went to a wedding and reception that was held here, and I recommend it for that as well!

Unless you want to see the garden's bones, which might be useful and educational. We looked through the gate and decided not to spend $10.00 to roam over what looked extensive but still quite dormant. The gatekeeper said pretty much that there was not much to see at this time.. Lots do books and tools to buy inthe shop, however.

As a peaceful break from the city, we thoroughly enjoyed a leisurely walk through an interesting, delightful and nicely laid-out offering of Idaho's native flora. It was time well-spent and we look forward to returning!

The Garden is actually a series of gardens - a rose garden, the English Garden, Meditation Garden, native plants garden and more. It is a popular location for weddings and summer concerts.
