Right across the river from Boise State U and very near the state capitol, this is simply a wonderful oasis in downtown Boise. With a small zoo, historical village, museums, botanical garden, tennis courts, picnic areas, and just some nice open space, it is simply a great place for students, faculty, downtown businesses, community, etc.
Bravo, Boise!!

Plenty of open space to kick back and relax. Sometimes the parking is a little bit of a challenge but most of the time it is available. Easy to bike to, just watch out for all the geese.

A nice downtown park along the river, seems well- used for lunch hour strolls, kids, and plenty of diversity enjoying the amenities.

The parks, zoo and museums that make up the central core of Boise are excellent for a city of less than 400,000. Early each September there is Arts in the Park which is attended by 250 or more traveling art vendors as well as a huge number of food vendors and musical acts. It is a family oriented weekend event that packs thousands of people into the park which is well laid out and handles them with style. The grass on the park makes a lovely green carpet. This year the weather was perfect with a heavy rain Thursday that washed the air clean of smoke from nearby forest and range fires.
