“"Almost" NY pizza very good - Chinden location”
Reviewed June 9, 2012

First time visit. Husband and I ordered 2 slices/ and then 2 more. The first slices were cut from a pie that just got done baking in the 550 degree oven. It was really good. Our second slices were "reheated" in the oven - in about 45 seconds - and was also very good. I did add some salt and italian seasonings that were provided at the tables. Can't wait to order a whole pie, probably with fresh basil; and the white pizza sounded tempting too. Slices about $2/ or $12+ for whole pie. Service was friendly and fast. So glad this Jersey Girl found a pizzaria to count on to satisfy my NY cravings.

“Perfect hole-in-the-wall thin-crust pizza slice”
Reviewed May 14, 2012

This place isn't big, it isn't fancy, but yet it still lured us in with a sweet, yeasty siren's song that wafted out the front door every time we walked past on our way downtown from Boise Guest House.

We knew we eventually had to stop in for a bite. Unfortunately, we weren't prepared for it to be cash-only and we only had $4 in our pockets (the total was $4.35 for 2 slices of pizza); the cashier was nice enough to spot us the 35 cents and let us be on our way, but as we ate our hit-the-spot thin-but-soft pizza slices outside on the sidewalk, we realized we each just had to get a 2nd slice, so we eyeballed the nearest ATM, got some more cash, and went for a 2nd round.

Good pizza, nice workers, reasonable prices. No complaints.

(Reminded us of Escape from New York Pizza on Haight St... but the dough/crust is better here at Guido's)

Being from back East I really appreciate their pizza. Their pizza is thin crust and it's wonderful.
