We stayed here for 2 nights in July as part of a long US tour. We wished we had planned to stay longer. Our accommodation [John's Study] was very well appointed. The A/C was welcome and efficient and the facilities provided everything we needed for a shortish stay. Our hosts were very welcoming and had obviously put a lot of thought into every aspect of their offering.
The nearer of the two breakfast venues was closed for holidays, but we were advised to go to Green Chutes/Salt Tears which was only about 3 minutes drive away and proved to be excellent. It was worth the visit to see the artwork on display and for sale there too.
Keith & Marylee deserve to succeed with their venture given the effort they obviously put into it.

Wonderful accommodations in a quiet neighborhood in Boise. Private room with private entrance, private hot tub, fireplace and kitchen. Marylee and her husband are available if needed, but respectful of their guests' privacy. We could come and go as we pleased. The room is tastefully decorated and the bed is extremely comfortable. Breakfast is available from a bakery at the bottom of the hill, just a short walk away. We enjoyed the wildlife in the area, including a family of quail right outside our door. Lovely place to stay. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Room Tip: Marjorie's Library has a private hot tub and fireplace

The inn was a great stay that was close to our family. It was very clean and quiet. We enjoyed seeing the pretty gardens in front of the property and watching the quail and her beautiful babies wandering around the property.

Staying here is like staying in a relative's Granny Flat. Welcoming, homey and with all the mod-cons. It's a shame they no longer serve breakfast as the photos on some of the older posts look delicious... anyhoo... we brought cereal and milk and the counter height fridge is ample enough for a few days worth of goodies to keep you going. There is crockery and cutlery in the room. Wine glasses, water glasses, mugs etc. There is PLENTY of the Keurig coffee - even enough for me (gasp)!

We stayed in John's Study (and the view makes you realize why he chose it for his study). We had our own entrance and balcony; a separate living area and bedroom.

It is up a hill in the North End of town. Far enough away from traffic and downtown noise, but close enough to get to/from in 10-15 mins. If you bring your bike, but don't want to bike up the hill to the house you can pick up the greenbelt trail at Veteran's Memorial Parkway, just down the road a ways. The first time you drive to the house can be a little tricky, but if you follow the directions on their website you should get there no problem.

One con: the sound from the connecting door... you can hear neighbors in Marjorie's Library if they are noisy.

Absolutely grand!! Loved the seclusion and the peaceful setting. Our hosts were most accommodating and friendly. Amazing that this property is in the heart of Boise---a true gem! I highly recommend this property and it is especially a super place to celebrate a special occasion.

The Inn is located in a nice, quiet neighborhood in the hills above Boise. The construction is interesting, of rammed earth, and the room we stayed in, with hot tub, was perfect for our needs. Everything was neat and clean, we loved the layout and decorations and the Innkeeper is charming and friendly. We also enjoyed the beautiful gardens in the front of the property. Highly recommended for a stay!

We spent a week in Joan's Suite. A very nice efficiency room. Quiet, fabulous bed, lots of options on the TV, great internet service, Cuisinart Single Serve Coffee with real cream provided in the mini fridge, and filtered water provided every day. Everything was very clean and top of the line. We were visiting family so up early, quick breakfast and coffee then out the door to return exhausted late in the evening for another great nights rest. Our schedule didn't allow for much visiting with other guests but we enjoyed meeting our gracious hosts and they took excellent care of us - fresh towels, linens, even replacing soap as needed. I would highly recommend Boise Hillside Suites. It is hard to find anything on the North End and we were very fortunate to find this wonderful gem just a few blocks away from the old homestead!
The property is a beautiful oasis of green and flowers nestled into the side of the hill.

Room Tip: Joan's Suite is exactly as shown on the website - great for a couple.
