“Beyond expectations!”

This motel was a great find - neat rustic lodge look, but super modern rooms & amenities and extremely clean. The only thing they might improve on is adding pillow-top beds, but they were still quite comfortable. Both indoor pool and hot tub were nice and warm. Breakfast buffet had everything you might expect for a free meal, but the eggs were typical scrambled without much taste, but the make-your-own waffles made up for that. Seating for buffet was in the large lodge area with more seating than often found in other hotels.

Best Western Plus Northwest Lodge.
We spent four nights here in November, 2012. Everything was very nice until we checked out. More about that later.
The front desk clerks (except for the last one) were all very helpful and efficient. The room was clean and housekeeping did a good job taking care of it. The breakfast was very good and it was nice to have food available early each morning. They also serve wine or beer each afternoon although we did not partake. Cookies are served at 8:30 each night and they were very good. The décor is western rustic and quite pleasant. There is a small pool and hot tub on the first floor and an exercise room nearby.
The location of the motel is pretty far from restaurants and other local attractions. Most of the eating places nearby are fast food types. There is one café across the street. We tried it but I can’t recommend it.
When we checked out, we received a bill that was over $160.00 higher than it should have been. I had to ask three times for a correct bill before we finally got one and the clerk seemed reluctant to provide it. I was not sure whether it was a mistake or being done on purpose. The fact that she presented us with two bills that were too high and did not give me a correct bill until I demanded it made me very uncomfortable. After we arrived back home, I called our credit card company and found that we had been charged the higher amount even though I have a receipt showing the correct amount we should have been charged.
Even though the rest of the staff did a great job, I doubt that we would go back to this place again. My service rating would have been much higher if it had not been for the checkout problem.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Everyone was very nice. It was SO clean and neat that I thought the place had recently been built, turns out, it had been there 11 years already. LOL. We had read a review on here regarding the pillows.....I didn't have a problem with the pillows but those beds were SO uncomfortable to sleep on! :( I didn't rest well my entire vacation away. VERY firm and VERY springy. I don't know if ALL the beds in this hotel are the same brand/type but I hope they would look into replacing them.

My husaband and daughter LOVED the free cookies/milk. I always love your free full morning breakfast which is why we try and stay at Best Western.

The woman working the front desk the evening we rolled in (11/22) was SO nice and because our truck was acting up and we couldn't drive anywhere to have a nice Thanksgiving dinner, she called around to some places that she knew delivered to see if she could find one that was open.

There are no negatives to staying here. Good breakfast selection. Good value meals at nearby Bob's Sunrise Cafe. Close to highway, but surprisingly quiet. Friendly and helpful staff. We would stay here again.

We arrived at the Lodge on Friday evening to be welcomed by an friendly front desk associate and a nice lobby that was rustic and inviting. We got to the room that was comfortable and clean with a king size bed and micro-fridge. Allot of pillows on the bed with different types, soft, hard and that was nice. The hot-tub was good even though the pool was small and only four feet deep. That is the only negative for me at this place. Breakfast was nice and comfortable dinning area. I will definitely will stay here again.

My wife just returned from Boise; she got bedbug bites on arms and shoulders. Have to disinfection the suitcase, shoes and clothes. A lot of trouble! Be careful, check your bed as soon as you check in.

We usually stay here while driving from B.C. down to New Mexico, and it's always a safe bet that you'll have a quiet evening. There is a good restaurant right across the parking lot, and the manager hands out a glass of wine in the evening. You can relax in the big breakfast area in the evening beside a nice fire, and all is done in a nice Western theme.
