Description: Since opening in the summer of 2004 The Falcon Tavern has become known as Boise's Downtown Neighborhood Pub. Specializing in what we describe as "upscale pub fair", this tavern is built on delicious everyday cuisine. Our menu includes a generous selection of Certified Angus Beef burgers, pita wraps, chicken sandwiches, paninis, appetizers, soups and salads. We're also known for our love of all things beer and wine. With 13 draft beers and 10 wines pours there's sure to be something to please everyone. Located across from Idaho's Capitol building at 705 W. Bannock St, this cozy tavern is a favorite for a quick bite at lunch, an afternoon pint of beer or glass of wine, or a place to just relax and enjoy the evening. The Falcon is non-smoking, open to all ages, sports fan friendly and offers Happy Hour everyday from 4:00-6:00pm. If you're someone who expects great food, beer, wine, and customer service then this is The Tavern for you. Cheers...

“Red Headed Finn.... Down-right amazing food!”
Reviewed July 7, 2013

The Red Headed Finn (formerly The Falcon Tavern) hits it out of the park! For lunch downtown, it is a must go. From burgers to fries, salads and classic sandwiches, and (my favorite) pita wraps, all food is prepared fresh and full of flavor. They have an extensive menu to please any appetite. (Although, somewhat discouraging that their wesbite is not mobile compatible, so you won't be able to view it from your phone or mobile device.) The service is awesome, we have never had a time where we were not in and out quickly for lunch, even though it can get quite busy. The atmosphere is also fun. They have used random, funny signs to decorate. I have been here countless times, but always find a sign I hadn't read in the past. If you are in downtown Boise and looking for a place to grab lunch, I highly recommend this restaurant.

“Nice experience”
Reviewed April 8, 2013 via mobile

Husband had the the shrimp po boy and I had the mediterrean rollup. We also had the calamari appetizer and a peanut butter cheesecake. Everything was enjoyable. Server was efficient. We we not treated shabbily as other reviewers experienced. Decent variety of beer on tap.

“Never disappointed”
Reviewed June 9, 2012

There is a nice menu selection at reasonable prices. Never taken anyone there who was disappointed. Service is always great. Quarters are a bit cramped during busy times.

“Absolutely MUST go!!!”
Reviewed April 25, 2012

Falcon has gone through it's up and down times, but the fact that you can't even find a seat at lunch on a warm day...says a lot about this humble little pub on Bannock. Whenever the foodie friends of mine come to town, we always go to Falcon. They've been voted Best Burgers in Boise time and time again...and for good reason! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu and the prices are just as good as the burgers. Not a huge late night destination, more of a Lunch and Dinner joint with a fantastic outdoor patio. Kind of off the beaten trail, but a GEM of a restaurant.
