My wife and I recently dined with another couple and opted for a patio table because of enchanting weather. We found the food to be pleasant, however our server was; A. Overbooked with table assignments B. Not the sharpest knife in the drawer C. Simply not interested as waitstaff D. Afraid of fresh air. He was less than attentive to "taking care of us," as he had proclaimed upon introducing himself. However, he did wait to provide the bill until after he had inquired if we desired desert.
On a good note, we witnessed another waitstaff person actually run down the street in an effort to return a customer's sunglasses which had been left behind. We figured this 'above and beyond' effort brought our dining experience to 'all square,' given our server's ambivalence.
