“What makes Boise a special place”
Reviewed November 4, 2012

How many cities have a continuous and accessible greenbelt that runs right through it? Boise is unique this way. There are paved paths that allow for easy biking under a forested canopy by the river. You can rent a bike a short distance from the greenbelt. You will often see people walking, running, biking, inline skating and fishing all along this path. Don't miss this if you visit the town.

“27 miles long and growing”
Reviewed October 30, 2012

I have biked it, walked it, rollerbladed on it and used it for transport from one place to another. Some how, some way, the river seems to get to it when it floods and shuts it down, but that's to be expected. It's good to see security on the walkways, and now maintenance, to smooth out all the tree roots and vegetation that keeps popping up through the asphalt. I wouldn't recommend using it at night, as most of it is NOT lit.

Right in town & a good walk work out. Have walked this before...will do so again. Beautiful river that leads from a more urban feel to a wildlife habitat...& it's FREE.

A wonderful place to walk/run/bike along the Boise River. Passes through several parks and is near museums and other city attractions.
