“Learned a lot!”
Reviewed September 9, 2013

My boys (7 and 9-years old) and I spent 2 hours here one Saturday morning and had a really nice time. We attended a talk and got to meet a screech owl up close and personal - very cute! We also found a booklet and worked on a scavenger hunt which really kept my kids engaged and interested in the displays. A military discount would have been a nice added incentive to the place, but the woman working the front desk did pull out a coupon that she allowed us to use instead. This is a great place to spend a couple of hours while in Boise!

“Exellent Facility to Visit in Boise”
Reviewed September 7, 2013

This is a great amenity for the Treasure Valley. We've taken several out-of-town guests and they've all given the Center rave reviews.

“A fantastic show not to miss!”
Reviewed September 4, 2013

I went in October when they put on a Birds of Prey show with falcons, peregrines, and owls! The outdoor stadium is just the right size to see these magnificent birds up close and personal. The staff is so dedicated to the preservation of the species' worldwide, and the entire facility is certainly one of the most interesting and fascinating place for families.

“Great for the whole family”
Reviewed August 23, 2013

Brought some friends here as we also had never been. So interesting and so much to learn about all the Birds of Prey... They have a few eagles, hawks, vultures on display and they do daily shows. The kids will really love this and so will the adults. Not to miss... plan on spending a couple of hours looking around and enjoying the tours!

“Extensive and impressive”
Reviewed August 22, 2013

Well, it's out from town where you wouldn't expect to find it, but it's well worth the trip. Then for $7 you can see various raptors - a bald eagle, a harpy, hawks, condors - depending on what birds are there at any given time. You can see all sorts of exhibits and creative displays about these birds (some for kids and some for adults). You can check out the Archives of Falconry, with a myriad of info, history, art work, and a life-sized model of an Arab hunting camp (this wing was funded by the former president of the United Arab Emirates). There are videos to watch. And there's show and tell several times daily with at least one of the raptors. You can learn a lot in an easily digestible and stimulating way. This place is part zoo, part breeding station, part rehab facility, part museum, part educational center, and a little gift shop. Impressive!
