Great ambience, very good service, terrific steak and sautéed mushrooms, but horrible, uncooked baked potato (two days in a row!) It had that microwaved taste and texture.

The signs at the airport say Chandler's has the best steak in Boise. If you order the Kobe beef, that is probably true. I had the sirloin and after tasting my husband's Kobe flatiron steak, I wished I had made a different decision. Overall, the experience, the music and the food were above average, but not outstanding. What I have learned over time is that the wait staff should anticipate your every need, but not be pushy or overbearing. This waiter was annoying in that every time he came by our table, he enthusiastically asked, "Did you love it, did you love it??" I finally told him that I did not love it just to get him to back off. It you want a quiet, romantic dinner with someone you care about, this is not the place unless you want to share your experience with your waiter every 10 minutes.

Beth, thank you for your honest and insightful review. We are grateful to have customers point out their experiences to us; however, very sad to hear that is was not only on par with your expectations but very far below our very own service standards. We would like to address this issue at our managers meeting but would prefer to do this online with you, at mbcooper@chandlersoise.com as we gather more details of your visit.
It is customers such as you that provides us the opportunity to grow and educate our staff.
I look forward to hearing from you.

Cheers,
Mary Beth, Business Development & Guest Relations

For a fine dining experience, you can't beat Chandlers in Boise. The food was spectacular, the atmosphere intimate, and the service professional and appropriate. I had fish, which can be dangerous at a steakhouse. The fish was cooked perfectly and was deliciously seasoned. We will visit again.

The food is excellant, wine bar list extensive, ambiance is lovely and the live jazz was terrific. For a light dinner, try the warm spinnach salad with bacon and scallops.

Dined here 2x in 3 weeks and the food has been excellent. Their price fix menu is a bargain with the choices and quality of the food. We all dinned on the prime rib and it was soooo flavorful and just the right size. We brought a special bottle of wine from our recent Walla Walla trip and they have no hesitation to cork it. Such a great place in Boise and the valet parking is extra nice.
